Gold Prospect
If you know something about mineral exploration or you are interested in mathematical statistics, you will be surprised with the map that shows the distributions of gold indices and mind-out mines. As soon as you look at the map, you will rush to the mining right registration office with grasping an application form, I believe. The map that I mention is gold indices mapping on the geological map of northern Ibaraki prefecture of Japan.Do you know where the biggest gold mine in Asia (except Australia) is? The answer is Japan! No one knows that Japan is a bonanza for prospectors. The reason why people gave up exploration of gold in Japan was the increase of personal expenses and the burden for expenses concerning environmental rehabilitations. It' was not geological reason!
Unfortunately there were no existing gold mines in Ibaraki. All were mind out or abandoned. But Ibaraki Prefecture had been famous for producing gold since around A.C. 800. It is well known that Japanese government (A.C. 630 to A.C. 894) had sent their young students for China to learn the State-of-the-Art technologies at that time. But no one know that how the government earned money for sending students to China. An old historical book written in A.C.836 says that alluvial gold in northern Ibaraki was used for preparation of missions to China.
Northern Ibaraki has a glorious history for gold. So I got interested in gold prospect. I have a ten-year experience of mineral prospect (Uranium). I selected an orthodox way of exploration because of lack of money. I am now in the first phase of prospect. It means that :
Analyzing geological knowledge of old mines and indices Collecting existing geological documents and environmental regulations Pinpointing existing indices on the map (1:25,000) Mapping of recent landslides near existing indices
(To economize budget, this one looks important. Landslide strips the soil and make appear new outcrops)Mapping good places for panning Grand reconnaissance of geology for targeting field I' m now targeting three old mines. Their names are "Namasato" mine, "Kuji" mine and "Okubo" mine. The reason why I picked them up was because they were all near my home (one-hour ride by car).
