"You guys are a hoot and a half. I mean, if I had friends like you in high school, I
probably still would've dropped out, but I might've been sad about it, you know?"

Character Info
    Character name: Faith
First episode she appears in: 'Faith, Hope and Tricks', series 3.
Traits: Interesting personality, somewhat violent.

Faith, turning completely wild and uncontrollable, rejects her responsibilities as a slayer and ends up killing a man. She also attempts to kill Xander. Buffy tries to help her, but she's too far gone. Eventually she joins Mayor Wilkins in his evil ways, in his fight to take over the world.

Faith the Vampire Slayer
Faith is the other Slayer. When Buffy was killed by the master, Kendra was called to take her place. Kendra was killed by Drusilla, and Faith was called. Faith started off nice, although the girl definitely had issues. It was not until after she had killed a human by accident that she went over the edge. She began helping the Mayor with his ascension. She shot Angel with a poison dart to distract Buffy from the ascension. She was stabbed by Buffy and fell over the edge of a roof, her body being carried away in a truck. Left in a coma, she helped Buffy defeat the mayor in a dream sequence in Graduation Day part 2. She finally comes out of her coma and causes a lot of havoc for Buffy (Season 4). On the run from the police, she turns up on Angel’s door-step, tortures Wesley to within an inch of his life and finally reaches out to Angel for help. Handing herself over to the police, she asks Buffy, she seems genuinely remorseful. I’m sure there’s a lot more of her to come, she currently resides in Prison.

Being Discovered
ELIZA DUSHKU was discovered aged 10, at the end of a 5-month search throughout the United States for the perfect girl to play the lead role of Alice opposite Juliette Lewis in the film "That Night." She was then cast as Robert De Niro's daughter in "This Boy's Life." Eliza then appeared as the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in Twentieth Century Fox's "True Lies." Between filming "True Lies" and "Bye Bye, Love," Dushku played the lead in the Disney short film "Fishing with George," directed by Julie Hickson. Following "Bye Bye, Love," Dushku stars in a Hallmark Hall of Fame Production titled "Journey," co-starring Jason Robards and Brenda Fricker.

Family
The daughter of "a big feminist," Dushku said that her mother always stressed that women in the industry didn't often get strong roles; "she's always rooted for me and all women in the business to make a difference. That was one reason she loved 'This Boy's Life', Ellen Barkin stands up to De Niro and leaves, she really loved the message of that. And also 'Buffy' - my mom loves strong women who hold their own! That's a totally good message, you know?"
Describing her mother - a college professor in Boston - as the biggest influence on her life, Dushku notes with admiration that "She believes in herself, she's the coolest lady," explaining that her mother has been in Romania for the past several months writing a book on the conditions there. "I feel so lucky to be in my family, we love each other so much. It's the best thing you can have, you know?" Her oldest brother is in the Peace Corps in Central America, "he saves lives, he's 26 years old and he delivers babies in the jungle."

With the exception of her distinct, throaty voice and her advanced intelligence, Dushku sounds nothing like lost soul Faith. With the support of a warm family including three older brothers and a mother she describes as her role model, she stumbled into acting when her older brother's agent saw her in an elementary school play. At her first open-call audition, Dushku earned a role in the Warner Bros. film That Night. Despite minimal experience, she was soon working with the likes of Robert De Niro and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Volunteering
Growing up, Dushku signed for the deaf in theatres and did reading for the blind, and would like to do more such volunteer work. One issue which hits close to home for her is the plight of the Albanian refugees, being of Albanian and Danish descent herself. "It's hard with all this war stuff. They're helping the Albanians, but you can never say you're happy about bombing. I don't know how I feel on the issue. I watch the news, I'm watching Albanian refugees piling onto trains, and they look like me and my brothers. I feel like I'm watching my family, and it's so disturbing."

Other Info:
She has studied the piano, drums and dance (jazz, tap and ballet). Her previous acting experience includes numerous amateur presentations at the Watertown Children's Theatre where she has been part of the company since she was in first grade. In addition to acting, she sometimes is seen on stage at the Children's Theatre signing for the deaf.

The tattoo on her right arm that we saw in her role as Faith is not real, but she wants to get a tribute tattoo on her hip when she is 21, for a family member who passed away. Her favourite role is a "toss-up between Buffy and True Lies." She really enjoys travelling and dancing. She has a German shepherd/ husky/ beagle mix named Korbit, who lives in Utah. She also has "five little fish that are easy to take care of, and they don't bug me."

Faith Quotes                                                                               Faith: "Well, when I'm fighting, it's like the whole world goes away, and I only know one thing, that I'm gonna' win, and they're gonna' lose. I like that feelin'."
(Faith, Hope and Trick)

Faith: "I'm five-by-five here, B, living entirely large, actually wondering about your problem."
Buffy: "Well, I may not sleep in the nude and rassle alligators..."
Faith: "What are you getting so strung out for, B?"
Buffy: "Why are your lips still moving, F?"
Faith: "Did I just hear a threat?"
Buffy: "Would you like to?"
Faith: "Wow. Think you can take me?"
Buffy: "Yeah. I just hope they can't!"
(Faith, Hope and Trick)

Buffy: "But he is...nice, and he's funny."
Faith: "And quite a muffin."
Buffy: "Blueberry. That crunchy, munchy stuff on top. But my most favorite thing so far is that he doesn't seem to be any kind of hellbeast."
Faith: "All men are beasts, Buffy."
Buffy: "Okay, I was hoping to not get that cynical 'till I was at least fourty."
Faith: "It's not cynical. I mean, it's realistic. Every guy from Manimal to Mr. I-Love-The-English-Patient has beast in him. And I don't care how sensitive they act. They're all still just in for the chase."
(All Men Are Beasts)

Faith: "Scott, there you are, honey! Hey, good news. The doctor says that the itching and the swelling and the burning should clear up, but we gotta keep using the ointment. Hi!"
(Homecoming)

Faith: "No offence lady. I just have this problem with authority figures, they end up kinda dead."
(Revelations)

Faith: "Excuse me Mary Poppins, you don't seem to be listening"
(Revelations)

Faith: "Ronnie, dead beat, Steve, clepto, Kenny, drummer. Eventually I just had to face up to my destiny as a loser magnet. Now it's strictly get some, get gone. You can't trust guys."
