My Close Encounter with an 'Angel' Written April 2000 To whom it make concern (that is, all other crazy Buffy fans out there): I am, if you want to know, a huge Buffy and Dawson's creek fan, but I'll be strictly talking about Buffy today. The very delectable David Boreanaz, who is, of course, the best looking vampire in Buffy and Angel, was in England for a week during April 20th 2000; promoting his new T.V show, a spin-off of Buffy.  He talked live on ITV's 'This Morning', presented by those 2 tossers Richard and Judy, from 11 am, on 23rd April.  They showed clips of the cliff hanger on season 2 ('the becoming'), where Buffy has to kill him, and also showed a recent clip of his own show Angel, where he has to kill 21 demons for his freedom.  During the interview, they asked Angel what his new show was all about, and he said it was a very similar show to Buffy,  but it contains much darker storylines, portraying how Angel became a vampire, and other paranormal aspects.  The show still has the same elements as Buffy, the weird goings on of science fiction, mixed with light hearted humour.  Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) also makes a good presence in the show, with her witty quick one liners. He was also asked where he got his good looks from (how gay is Richard Medley).  He replied, 'from my parents of course' 'my dad, and not forgetting my mom'. During the interview, he wore a blue v-neck jumper with a white strip across the middle, and blue jeans. He was witty and quite at ease during the interview. He said during the interview, that he would be in London, in Forbidden Planet (a science fiction shop) on the 24th 'til the 25th, all day, signing autographs.  Little did I know he was signing autographs at £20 a go. He must have made an absolute killing.  Of course I went up London to meet the man himself. Pushing my way through thousands of screaming teeny boppers, who had been queuing up since the morning (suckers). He looked exactly like he does on the telly, dark and mysterious.  He came across as being very polite and friendly.  He thanked us for coming.  My best friend, the creator  of this website was too shy and embarrassed to meet him, but it didn't really bother her, because she's in love with James Marsters.
