There won't be much here, with maybe the exception of a con report and some pictures from the three that I've been to. Hardly enlightening, but you should know not to expect that from ME.... This was my third year going to AX, and there were quite a few differences. I have to say that I enjoyed 2000 the best, probably because it was my first con, though. Apparently, most veteran connies were quite upset. Frankly, I think compared to the way they ran 2002, 2000 was a joy. The management of the panels was horrendous; we had signed up months in advance, but did not find out until the second day of the con that we weren't allotted a time. That was really disappointing, especially considering how popular it had been the year before. The only thing that was MORE frustrating, was waiting in the line for the dealers room. It wrapped AROUND the convention center! OY! Granted, it moved REALLY quickly, and I don't think we waited longer than 20 minutes at any given time, it still looked intimidating. Not enough to keep us from going IN, but well, you know. ^.~ |
