THE LOWDOWN: Director Gregg Araki's third film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Like most of his films, this one is not for everybody. It's view of confused teens who are going nowhere in So. Cal. Though it's not always easy to watch, it is always easy to look at. With it's talented who's who of young actors set against Araki's trademark design and art direction, the style sometimes outshines the substance. Nowhere is the third film in Araki's teen-aliented trilogy which also include Totally F***ed Up, and The Doom Generation. |
