Desserts Sean's Post-postmodern Nonsense Ah, the desserts, the very favorite part of the menu of many. I rarely make my own desert. (Although I have tried cranberry bread once with mixed success.) I don't think wasting 3 hours baking a chocolate cake is very fruitful an endeavor. Indeed, the power of dessert, as an art, is to mix familiar pleasant flavors and material into unexpected territories. It's not difficult to buy a cake from a store. That's not a cuisine. That's laziness. I do appreciate my own preposterous pretensions. This is akin to Picasso's blue period due to his running out of other colors. But, bare with me...
