See how a musician/Bard goes thru her daily adventures!
It's beginning to look like Yuletide :-)
Things are definitely progressing! On Tuesday I took my flute to work for a co worker to check out and let me know how I did on my online purchase. Luckily,I got a hold of a flute in excellent condition tho I know nothing about them. She was impressed not only with the flute but with the new gig bag backpack I got for it as the old case reeks of cigarettes. She did try to show me how to get a tone out of it but as we were both on a time limit & outside,we didn't progress very far. However, after studying a bit of my book tonight I can get a tone-granted my technique needs working but I feel better that I can indeed get it to make a note. I'm hoping we develop a good friendship as everyone else I have been close to in previous years has either went a little over the edge hormonally or has simply faded away altogether~and in a couple of cases I did a fading away on my own as the people had become intolerably hateful & negative on everything & I just couldn't handle their negativity in general anymore.
I'm also continuing to unclutter and donate things no longer of value to me,and I'm making plans for next year as far as my online store is concerned-esp with how and when I order inventory. I'm finally getting thru my head that 90% of what I sell needs to be ready made merchandise and only 10% will be my handcrafted goods. I'm seeing that once Halloween hits,it gets harder to get anything due to,in part,my part time job increasing how many days I work as well as just life in general, unexpected phone calls & visits due to the holiday season.
The armwarmers I've been knitting are progressing & I'm hoping to have them completed by the time next Monday rolls around-I'll be needing them. Thursday night football is back and I'm a happy camper. The Raiders actually won the game last week and I can hold my head high at least until the next game they play.
