Yep-watching last nights weather forecast predicted something I never heard of before-thundersnow in the higher elevations. I never would've come up with anything that good-just when I thought I'd heard it all from my local weather reporters-I get this! It does sound very gothic & cool however-to have snow gently falling along with thunder backing it up. I wonder why this effect hasn't been used in movies before.
Ahhhhh Yule gently creeps closer-and the tree has to be put up. The current chilly climate have settled me down a bit-I have gained a renewed appreciation for flannel,thermals,& hot cocoa however.
My guitar playing has taken me into re studying my modes & learning some three chord wonders (What I Like about You) in addition to "Surrender" by Cheap Trick. And yes, there is a 8x10 of Rick Neilson hanging in my room. Business wise it looks like Canada is starting to like me. I just got some guitar/rock themed fabric and went down memory lane a bit watching videos of bands like Deep Purple,Alice Cooper,Cheap trick,and Poison-not that I was ever a huge fan but seeing a new one of them doing "what I like about you" was truly entertaining & I don't know what I liked more-seeing them dressed in tuxs' or just seeing that they're still going. You get a new appreciation of that as the years roll on,trust me. And I made myself a new scarf of flannel with electric guitars all over it-just in time to wear to work tomorrow-that'll get some comments,that's for sure! Well off to getting the heater going and that cup of hot chocolate-and some plunking about on the ol electric............
