What's up with Clark: Clark has been laying low since he discovered that Lionel Luthor found out his secret, so Chloe drags Clark to Metropolis so that he can get away from the farm. It's a good thing too, because Clark is called to action - a man gets caught in front of a van, and Clark saves his life. Unfortunately, the man goes on to kill a star witness in the basement of the Metropolis courthouse. Clark doesn't know the man he saved is a professional hit man.

What's up with Lois: Lois is working out in the Kents' home when Graham suddenly shows up right behind her in the living room. Graham has the amazing power to disappear and reappear. It turns out he was the one who sent Clark the 50-inch plasma TV. Lois explains to Graham that Clark returned it. Graham still wants to repay Clark for saving his life. Meanwhile, Lois is interested in Graham.

What's up with Lex: Lex has returned from his weeklong Washington, D.C. trip with little new information about Dr. Fine. According to government records, Dr. Fine doesn't exist. He shares this information with Lana, who he missed terribly while he was away. Lana concedes that she missed him too. They engage in a passionate kiss. Clark stops by to see if Lex sent him the TV, and Clark sees them together. He walks away.

What's up with Chloe: Clark marches into Chloe's office at the Daily Planet and accuses her of not being a good friend - why didn't she tell him about Lex and Lana? Chloe insists it wasn't her place and that she's Lana's friend too. Clark says Lana can't be with someone like Lex; Chloe reminds him that he can't choose who his ex-girlfriend dates. Lana's a big girl and can make her own decisions.

How it ends: Graham decides the best way to repay Clark is to kill Lex. Clark doesn't approve, but Graham is on a mission. He attacks Lex in his mansion, but he doesn't seal the deal because Lana walks in. Then Graham disappears while Lana calls for help.

Graham strikes again at Lex's hospital. Lex has a gun, and he shoots at Graham - who is invisible, but Lex and Lana can tell he is in the room. Lex loses control of the gun. Graham, who has been shot but is still alive, gets the gun. Lex and Lana run out of the room, but Graham shoots. Clark is around and stops the bullet from reaching Lex and Lana - they are huddled so they can't see Clark move at lightning speed to catch the bullet - but Lana is under the impression Lex saved her. She embraces Lex.

Lana finally comes clean to Clark about her relationship with Lex. Clark warns her that Lex cannot be trusted. Lana reminds Clark that she and Clark are over and that she doesn't need his protection.

Lois confides in Martha - why can't she find a guy who's not on the FBI's most wanted list? Martha admits that when she was Lois' age, she also attracted the dark, mysterious type... until she met Jonathan. Martha encourages Lois to keep her eye out - her Prince Charming will come soon enough.
