Lois' sister comes to visit; Someone steals the stone Jason and Lana brought back from China; Clark and Lex rekindle their friendship.
What's up with Lucy: Lois' sister is being chased down a mountain in Switzerland by a bunch of guys in black ski gear. When she gets away, she calls Lois and tells her she's coming for a visit. Lois is happy to see her sister, but worried that she's in trouble. She should be in Europe at a prestigious prep school.
What's up with Lana: Lana and Jason come back from a jog to find that someone has broken into their apartment and stolen the stone. At first they're disturbed and argue over who could have stolen the stone, but then, they decide their lives will be better off without it and seem content to let it pass into another's hands.
What's up with Lois: She isn't so happy with her sister hanging around. She loves Lucy, but when her mother died, she was put in charge of her younger sibling and their relationship has been rocky ever sense. Lucy is pawned off on Chloe while Lois goes to work at the Talon. When Chloe and Lucy show up later, Lucy and Lex hit it off immediately.
What's up with Jason: He goes to the mansion and confronts Lionel. He accuses him of stealing the stone. When Lionel doesn't admit to any wrong doings, Jason throws him against the wall several times. Lana witnesses the assault and runs off crying.
What's up with Clark: Lucy sneaks out of the farm and Clark catches her stealing from the Talon. She tells him she owes a loan shark $50,000. She's in over her head and doesn't want to get her family involved. Clark promises not to tell, but goes to Chloe for help tracking down the load shark. Lois overhears them talking and with Clark in tow confronts her sister, who's at the mansion with Lex. Lucy is furious at Clark and Lois and tells everyone she can handle the problem herself. Lex comes to the rescue and tells Lucy he knows how to deal with extortionists.
How it ends up: Lex, Lucy and Lois go to pay off the loan shark, and initiate their plan to capture him, but, they get caught in a trap. The loan shark dresses up like a cop and takes the bonds, Lucy and Lois. Lex is pistol whipped and left unconscious on the ground. The next day, Lois and Lucy are being held hostage, at least that's what Lois thinks. When the loan shark opens up the truck to feed them, he throws them two sandwiches, one without tomatoes... How does he know Lucy doesn't like tomatoes? She's in cahoots with the loan shark, looks like Lois is the only hostage here.
Clark and Lex become wise to Lucy's deception. When the ransom call is made to Lex, Clark overhears where the bonds are to be placed and super speeds his way to the scene. He jumps onto a moving semi and knocks out the loan shark, leaving him for Lex and his men to find moments later. Lucy and Lois were in the trailer, in Lex's car while Clark was saving the day. Lex checks up on Lois while Lucy evades one of Lex's henchmen and steals Lex's car. She drives by Lois and Lex and mouths "sorry" as she speeds off down the road. Looks like crime does pay for some people. Lucy's not found and she got away with $50,000.
Lex and Clark bond later as Lex tells Clark he's closer than any blood brother ever could be. Meanwhile Lois is still shook up about her sister's betrayal and Lionel realizes Lex didn't steal the stone after the two quip back and forth. The real thief? It's Lana! She stole the stone and hid it in a pipe!
