What's up with Lex: Lex visits his father in the psych ward at Belle Reve and tells a nurse to monitor him 24/7. As he walks away, he bumps into another patient who is electronically handcuffed and frees him. The super-charged baddie and his twin cohorts escape from the hospital.

What's up with the Kents: The Kents, Clark, Lana and Chloe help the town in a barn raising. As Clark hits his hand with a hammer, he learns for the first time what it's like to be human and feel pain. Pa Kent asks Clark to go on a supply run back to their farm and Clark asks Lana to go with him. At the farm, Clark and Lana take advantage of being alone and sneak off to the loft. They hear a car pull up and think it's Clark's parents, and run downstairs to explain their delay. But it's not the Kents -- it's the thugs from the hospital.

What's up with Lana: Lana and Clark try to escape from the thugs, but they use their electro-charged powers to hold them in the barn. The thugs think Clark still has his powers and demand that Clark steal some Kryptonite juice that they are strung out on from Luthercorp's secret Level 3. Before Clark agrees, the Kents return home and are taken hostage as well.

What's up with Chloe: Clark seeks out Chloe to help him break into Level 3. With her cute Beetle convertible trunk full of gadgets and her trusty laptop, they easily break into Level 3 without Clark's powers and Chloe's brains.

What's up with Clark: As Clark gets back to the farm to deliver the Kryptonite juice, the police have surrounded the house but are being blocked by an electronic force field. Clark convinces the electro-thugs to drop it long enough for him to get back into the house. Using his human strength and shutting off the electricity in the house, Clark beats up the baddies long enough for the police to rush in and help.

How it ends: When Chloe tells Clark that Lex was watching them in Level 3 and made it easy for them to break in, he pays Lex a visit. After they duke it out, Lex is surprised that Clark is bleeding after being punched. Clark walks away knowing that Lex can no longer be trusted. Clark then goes to Lana's where they finally get down and dirty for the first time.
