Rev. Charles Mann was born August 26, 1810, in Pulborough, Wisborough-Green, West Sussex, England.  Baptized September 15, 1811, Church of England, Parish Church of Wisborough-Green, West Sussex, England.

Emigrated from England to Upper Canada through the "Petworth Project", on the ship "England" in 1832, along with his cousin, John Downer.  Charles Mann was the first of his family to emigrate to Canada. 

He was a Methodist Episcopal Minister (as witnessed by the Certificate of Ministry below).

Rev. Charles Mann was my husband's Great Grandfather.
