George Lyman Hubbard MANN was born April 7, 1861, in Oakland County, Michigan, and died July 22, 1922, in Bliss Township, Emmet County, Michigan.  He is buried in the Bliss Cemetery, Bliss, Michigan (Emmet County).

George Lyman Hubbard MANN and Ella Emeline MATHEWS were married on December 30, 1891, in Petoskey, Michigan (Emmet Co.), in the Rector Emmanuel Episcopal Church, officiating was The Reverend Charles T. STOUT.

In the early 1900's, George MANN was a farmer and also worked at the Belding-Hall Sawmill, in Ely, Michigan.  He later became a Justice of the Peace and Judge in Pellston, Michigan.  George MANN quite frequently held court proceedings from his home, with his wife, Ella, serving as his Court Reporter.  Together, they had 9 children.
