Author Ed Wright presented the SMARTrans concept to the Grand County Lions Club at their February 15th meeting, 7:30 a.m., at the Last Waltz Restaurant in Winter Park. SMARTrans has generated much interest in the area since the feature story in early January in the Winter Park Manifest by Editor Harry Williamson. A key shortcoming of the current CIFGA makeup is that Grand County is excluded from its membership despite being vitally affected by the I-70 congestion and contributing some 20% of the traffic through Idaho Springs.
