FRONT SURFACE MIRROR

Also known as front surface mirror, these mirrors are one of few essential items that any optical laboratory cannot do without. It got its name from the fact that it has its incident surface coated instead of the normal 2nd surface as was done with most mirror.

As such, it eliminate the formation of 'ghost image' and also the loss in power due to

  1. reflection at the 2nd incident surface
  2. refraction
  3. absorption by the substrate

All our line of mirrors have they edges grounded and surface polished to achieve maximum transmission of light ray. Surface accuracy and flatness range from the more precise one of wavelength/20, wavelength/10 to the commonly used quarter wavelength (wavelength/4). Commercial grading of 2 wavelength, 4 - 6 wavelength and above are also available and more suitable (more cost effective) when accuracy of the reflected beam is not critical.

Available in circular, rectangular and square shape. (Confuse over what shape to buy ??? Click here for more advice.)
