"Let Me Give The World To You"/the Smashing Pumpkins A few songs back I had "Fade Away" as the featured song. So, to be fair, I decided to feature a Smashing Pumpkins song, too. The song I have chosen is a yet-to-be-released B-Side. The "real" lyrics aren't known, but, thanks to !eMpleH, in Listessa, we have some pretty accurate ones. It's one of my very favorite Pumpkin songs... even though I've only heard it live. Once accoustic and the other time electric. It's going to be awesome, when it's finally released.

"Let Me Give the World to You"
The Smashing Pumpkins

Last chance to make believe
in always and all it seems
{Train wrecks hide} underneath your umbrella
{set the frame} destiny
on a first name soliloquy
tired symphonies play down on

let me give the world to you my love
let me give the world to you my love
let me show you what I'm thinking of
let me give the world to you my love

and I wouldn't change a thing
{oh, no} no
and I wouldn't change a thing about the way you are
the {distance here'll be} so far, so far

lovers with dead excuse
blur the lines with soul abuse
lonesome lives just have no use
right here
and loose skin holds us in as the old skin
turns {a psalm}
flicker, flicker, nitrate dawn to end

let me give the world to you my love
let me give the world to you my love
time to hide {it(in?)} with our {lasting life(love?)}
{soon} might {be quite forgotten what was mine} (hard line!!)

and I wouldn't change a thing
{in your life}, no
no I wouldn't change a thing about the way you are
{distance here'll be} so far,
so far

let me give the world to you my love
let me give the world to you my love
let me give the world to you my love
let me give the world to you my love
