Dec.13(Mon):
Hi!, Ah, I would like to talk about "Millennium" this week. Ah, I think it is great to born in the generation which can experience the millennium. You know, I should feel more about the importance of the year 2000... Ummm, but I can't feel it in a real sense. Um. I am the type of person who cools down when other people are excited about something. Therefore, I don't have any special plan for the year 2000. Um. Of course, I want to make each year a good year, and of course... I want make next year better than this year. I make goals and plans to achieve the goals every year. Well, for the year 2000, I haven't decided anything yet. However, I wonder where I will be at New Years Day of the year 2000. Most likely, we will be appearing on Kohaku. Then, after that, we might do a wrap-up party or something. Um. But, I also want to enjoy my private life, so, I want to go home early. (laughing)

Dec.14(Tue):
Hi!, The theme of this week is "Millennium". I will talk about the millennium goods today. The millennium goods are sold at many places as the limited items, such as wines and Champaign. Um...I haven't bought anything related to the year 2000. I should buy something. Um. I guess the sales of wine and Champaign are great since these are essential for the celebration. Um. But, I don't like the sounds of "so-and-so goods".(laughing) However, the number 2000 is surely beautiful when it is written. Um. May be because of that, I want to have the 2000 yen bill soon. (Japanese government will issue 2000 yen bill next year.)

Dec.15(Wed):
Hi! The theme of this week is "Millennium". Ah, there will be many special concerts by famous musicians all over the world at the New Year's Eve this year. Oh, these special live concerts to commemorate the millennium...um...I will be on stage, so, I can't go to see them. I am sorry to miss these great concerts. Um. I guess, it will be a great moment when we go into the new millennium. Come to think about it, to gather the feeling of excitement from the people all over the world...many millions of people will excitingly wait for the coming of the new millennium. I am really looking forward that moment. Well, there is only about two weeks left this year. I can't take a time to reflect. Of course, I think about many thing about this year and coming year. But, I want to go into the New Year without any pretension.

Dec.16(Thu):
Hi!, Ah, the theme of the week is "Millennium" I will talk about my personal 1900's, Goro Inagaki's 1900's, in retrospect today and tomorrow. Well, after all the biggest news for me is working in the entertainment business. The second biggest one is being born in this era. This sounds so ordinary. Hah. One thing for sure is that those who are born in the 1900's will be asked over and over about the experience of the millennium by the next generation when we all get old. When I was little, I thought about experiencing the year 2000 when I get 26 years old. Of course my childhood image of myself at 26 years old is totally different from who I am now. Um. My be, I was influenced by my father being businessman...wearing a suit, going to work everyday...As I child, I imagined myself doing what my father was doing when I get old. I never thought about doing what I do now when I was little. Yeah.

Dec.17(Fri):
Hi! Ah, I am talking about "Millennium" all week this week. The biggest news of 1999 in my private life is my older sister having a baby. The baby is a boy, name Takanori, born in last spring. It's great to be born in 1999. I wonder what people will tell him in the future about the year he was born. (laughing) It was the big news. Well, being born in the year 2000 is great, but, in some sense, being born in 1999 is somewhat mysterious. It is the end of the 1000 years which everything are concentrated. I think the end of era is more important than the beginning of the era because it carries everything in the last 1000 years. I like the sound of 1999, too. Um. Well, my older sister's child is only about 6 months old now. He has not remembered me yet. But, for the future, I am his uncle. I am really looking forward seeing him growing. Um.
