April 5, Monday! "Stop the SMAP" is now on the new time slot. Good evening everyone! This is Goro Inagaki. It is quite late in the evening but everyone! Please keep awake and listen to this show. Tonight is the SMAP night by Goro Inagaki.
Ah, let's read a post card. This is from Nana living in Niigata;
"Congratulation! You will do the stage play in June. Finally, your stage play is announced. I thought you would do it. I am very glad that you are doing the stage play. Of course, Goro kun will easily say ' Please come to see the play.' But, getting the tickets is very difficult. Especially, if I want to see the play many many times, I need to use some special telephone technique to get through. I am very looking forward seeing your play. Please let us know about what you will play."
Oh, don't come to see many many times!...you know once is enough. Oh, may be more than once... but not many many times, don't you think? (laughing) I don't think the stage play is something which we have to see over and over. Um.
Speaking of the play, recently, I went to see Tsuyoshi Kusanagi's "Kamata March". Um.
Kohei Tsuka directed it! Mr. Tsuka himself directed "Kamata March". Um. Mr. Nishikiori played the role of Gin chan and Tsuyoshi Kusanagi played the role of Yasu. Um.
I was quite moved by this play. Um.. After all, I did Mr. Tsuka's play and I understand the difficulty of using your throat to the point of hurting it. (laughing) I know it. Um.
Those who went to see the play know that Tsuyoshi kun's voice was so horsed. Um. It was really hard for him...But, don't you think he is destroying his throat? He uses his throat quite a bit.
You can't use the beautiful voice using your stomach muscle when you do Mr. Tsuka's play. You have to scream using your throat. Um... it is kind a unusual world playing Mr. Tsuka's script. Um. You know, when you are pushed to the limit, the voice will show it. Mr. Tsuka's play is the play of challenging one's own limit. Um.
But in that sense, my play "The day we bomb Hiroshima" , which was directed by Mr. Hidenori Inoue and borrow the original script by Mr. Tsuka, was not exactly the taste of Mr. Tsuka. I felt the difference when I went to see "Kamata March". I felt, "Ah, this is the play by Mr. Tsuka." Or, it was hitting the heart of Mr. Tsuka's play. Um. There was not even a stage set. That's is the style of Mr. Tsuka. If there weren't any stage set and costumes for "The day we bomb Hiroshima", I don't think the play will work. In that sense..."Hiroshima" and "Kamata" have different tastes. I think "Kamata" is more of Mr. Tsuka's play...(laughing).
Shingo and I went to see Tsuyoshi's play together. We were sitting next to each other. (laughing) It was kind weird for the audience. You know, three out of five SMAP members were there in the theater. Um. But, I thought this when I did my play, too, that the audience was really polite. Um. You know, it used to be that the audience got really noisy when they found out other SMAP members were in the audience and it was really difficult to keep the play going. But now, the audience became mature and concentrated to the play. Um. I thought it was a nice audience. Um. If I were a regular person going to the play and found someone famous in the audience, I would make some noise. (laughing) Um.
It was the great play. Everyone cried toward the second half of the play. I could hear the weeping of the audience. Shingo was even crying next to me. Um. It was such a great play. I think for Tsuyoshi, doing this play was a big plus...a treasure. I think this play will have a great influence to Tsuyoshi Kusanagai's future activities as an actor.
Ah, speaking about myself. I will do the stage again in June. Um. I can't talk about the contents of the play yet because...ah...it is not so clearly decided yet.(laughing) It is already late, but this play will be more hands on experience. Possibly, the script might change during the rehearsals. It is more experimental. I am thinking about putting more of my taste into this play. Um. Of course there are a screenwriter and a director for this play. Um. I will tell you more after more details were decided. Ah, please listen to "Don na Iikoto" by SMAP.
Well, I hope those who never been to stage plays will go to see the plays by Tsuyoshi or I, and become liking stage plays. You know, stage plays...people go to see movies quite often, but there are many people who don't go to see stage plays. In that sense, I always hope our work on the stage will be the opportunity for those who never been to theaters. Ah, I will do it in June. Please looking forward seeing it.
The give away for people whose post cards were red in this radio show will be different from now on. It is "SMAP Ike TEL Mobile Phone Strap" you can stick PRICLA on it. This is nice. See you tomorrow. Bye bye!
