We love guys with instruments
We'd like to give some credit to a major part of Da Kinks collaboration that gets little credit.
These guys are the band- they are there in concert playin' away night after night and we think they're damn cool.
Actually, we're a little confused on the current members of the Band. The Millenium cd jacket says some names ... their website says some others. Here's a complete list -

We hold a special place in our hearts for Obie and Billy. Obie- how do you get your hair to stand straight up? You've got great skillson the bongos .... we're sure it's a tough job. Nice job on the sax too ... We don't think Obie is a member of the Backstreet Boys' band any more, but he will never be able to be replaced. and we wish him luck on whatever he's doing now. Oh by the way Obie, great job on that Mandy Moore song you co-wrote on.
Billy- He is absolutly adorable playing TWSS with Brian on the Homecoming Concert. We just basically think you're a cutie. According to Tommy's site, you're not a part of the great Kink band anymore either, but we forgive you. Billy's a great man, afterall, AJ himself said Billy was the best guitar player in the world.
Speaking of Tommy- man, you tell us great things on your site and it's funny too. Now we can back up whatever crazy BSB facts we hear with "Tommy told me."
We'd like to know what's up with their mascot Guido. Apparently Dennis has a thing for stuffed geese ... but we have a thing for rubberducks so you know. We heard Guido sits on the edge of the piano. After several observations, we finally discovered the great Guido. Also, Dennis apparantly shares AJ's fear of clowns. Yeah, Tommy told us.......
So this is our ode to a major part of Da Kinks' music that doesn't really get nearly as much credit as they should. Y'all are cool. We welcome your geese.
