26 year-old newborn
Would you like to join me in a very intimate and personal journey, and yours?
Entry for February 20, 2008
One thing I've experienced now lately when I meet old friends, family in particular, and even people I don't know, is a glow in the eyes of people. Extravertively it's only a bit water in the eyes of people, but there's of course more at risk.

I assume that they're touched, but one can never feel what other people feel. I mean, if you see someone drop a stone on their toes, and make a shout, then it's that person that feels it, not you - same, I think, is with emotions. Now, we are such a social animal, that we have the ability to have compassion, empathy, with other people. This impression of compassion, I think, is just something we unknowingly fool ourselves with, out from how people behave. What if someone could convincingly play that he was miserable, would one know that they were miserable or that they were pretending? If you didn't have any other means of knowing, then one would think that he was miserable, simply based out from an impression of compassion. It's from this reason which makes me so curious about what emotions people walk around with.

I keep being curious about what people think and feel within themselves when I come with a huge smile on my face and look them straight in the eyes. Some look away, look in the floor, stand turned against me, but the head turned away from me. Others (more brave?) look into my eyes, and the pupils become bigger (yes, that I've taken notice of) and they're filled with water. Absolutely fantastic, and exciting ... and a third emotion I can only describe at butterflies in my stomach. I've had it this way since I came from Personal Improvement.
