Well, congratulations!

If you have got here I am thoroughly impressed! Still, now that you have you are about to be well rewarded because this is where I am actually going to talk about myself instead of just putting in random links...

So, who am I?
Well, first of all, my name is Catrin (aka, as I said before, Cati, Cat or Sunshine).
I'm still not telling my age because it changes ;-).
I live in England - I have done all my life although my 6 month stay in Australia meant that I really do feel I have a second home in Australia.
I did exams last year and yes, thank you, I did just fine :-)
Oh, and yes, that's me up the top there, although the one at the end isn't... I wish I could do that... but I can't...

And what do I like doing?
Well, I spend most of my time these days (now that I'm not working any more) on the internet, chatting to people and messing round with stuff like this site. Oh yeah, and uni...
Apart from that, the most important things in my life are...
My friends (more about them later).
Giz
(see below)
My family (well I guess some of them come under friends)
Playing the piano (it often acts as a kind of therapy for me)
Dancing (Well I have been dancing all my life, quite literally)
Church/Quakers (a big part of my life although sadly not as big as I would like it to be at times)
Travel (yeah well it had to be in there ;-) I love to travel!)
Australia (I guess that should probably come under travel but err it doesn't. *grin*)

And did I remember sunshine, smiles and hugs! (Mustn't forget those!)
So. My friends.
Hannah
My best friend. We have known each other for about 5 years now - wow is it really that long? (although people think we've known each other longer) and for me at least I knew when I met her that we were going to be friends :-). She lives in Nottingham, which isn't too far from me :-) so I know the train route pretty well now ;-)
She is a great gal, really sweet, a great musician (plays viola/violin/flute and all at about Grade 8!) and a great friend who I talk to about pretty much anything and everything :-)
*hugs* love ya hun!
Giz
Well, I first met Giz at a Quaker event a bit over a year ago, and since then I'm getting to know the route up to his place quite well. He lives up near York now, which again isn't too far for me :-) He's another sweetie who I ask about anything to do with computers ;-). Recently he has started trying to educate me about all the movies I haven't seen! Giz is also to blame for a lot of the time I spend on the net since it was his fault I got IRC and also joined Boinng... need I go on. No seriously he is a real sweetie and I love him to bits!:-)
Anyways, we've been going out since early May and I'm so happy about it, it's been a great 6 months (and counting..)
NEWSFLASH
Early December, we got engaged :-) so he is no longer my boyfriend, but in fact my fiance!!!
*huggles* I love you darling :-)
Ruthie
Ruthie and I became friends at school about 5 years ago. We both switched school for 6th form to the same school, which was really nice. Sadly, she's gone to university the other side of the country in Cardiff now so I don't see a lot of her. Hopefully I'll see more of her when I go to Bristol :-).
Anyways, Ruthie is another great friend, also musical (she at one point wanted to be a pop singer and I still think she should go for it!) and I'm glad I know her :-)
*hugs* Hey chuck :-)
Loralei
Another friend that I first met at school. Lora is originally from California and I love her to bits :-) She is one of my few friends at home, and although we don't see that much of each other we're still good friends. She is a really bubbly, bouncy girl with a great outlook on life who I have a lot of fun with ;-)
*hugs* Keep smiling lovey!
Tim
I met Tim when I was out in Australia, as we were both on team for a beach mission. He is one of the nicest people I know and a very special guy :-). He lives (sadly) in South-west Australia, which is kind of a bit far but we keep in touch over the internet (despite the time difference).
*hugs* Miss ya babes!
Claire
Claire is another of my fairly long standing friends, who lives in France, so we only see each other about once every couple of years on average, but it's great when we do. She's a nice friendly girl with a passion for English tea! As I said, she's French, but when we do manage to meet up we always have a good time :-)
*hugs* salut Claire!
Cath
I've known Catherine a long time now (pretty much all of my life). She's a great friend, who will always be there. She's just some home from S. America so we met up recently for the first time in ages - she had a wonderful time - and yeah she's a really nice girl :-)
*hugs* Ello chuck :-)
Well, I could go on a lot longer... but you'd probably get bored so I'll just mention a few people I can't leave out :-)
Ian, another good Quaker friend, another great guy :-)
Mikayla & Ellen, peoples I met at JYM, really nice bubbly girls (both of them!) :-)
Sarah B & Christie, both Aussie friends I met at beach mission :-)
Cypher, Nivo, Fletch, Shelagh, Chris, Ast, Adam - some great people I've met in chat *hugs* :-)
Lisa, Kat, Charlotte - dancing friends and lovely people :-)
Mak, Allie, Chris, Amy, Vinia, Jamie, Rama - friends from school who are now scattered over the country :-)
Ok I'm going to stop there :-) but like I said my friends are very important to me and after all this is my site so I can put what I like on it :-P

So, the other parts of my life..
My family.
My family is split into 2 halves.. those in England and those in Australia. I live with my mum, and my sister when she's home from university. As far as the family in Australia is concerned, since I spent about 4 months staying with them I feel I have a second home out there which is great :-)
Dancing.
Yeah well like I said I've been dancing all my life, and I really couldn't imagine life without it at the moment. I'm not anything special but I have a lot of fun and I do enjoy myself :-) At the moment I do jazz, ballet and modern, and i have done tap in my past as well. However, the coolest thing is that last year I qualified to teach both ballet and modern!!! :-)
Church/Quakers
Well this could take a little while so I'll give you the basic run down. I go to church pretty much every week and I am a part of the community there. However, I also go to a lot of Quaker events for young people, and I have met a lot of special people at them. So I guess the easiest explanation is that I am both Quaker and Anglican, and both my church community and the Young Friends I know are important to me.
Travel (aka HOLIDAYS ;-))
Well, like dancing, we've always travelled as a family. And so I have my parents to thank for the fact that I now have the 'travel bug'. I have been to some wonderful places but most of all I've met some great people, and it has also given me the confidence to get out there and talk to people if I'm travelling on my own.
Australia
I put this in a different section cause I was recently there for 6 months... just to explain, 'Travel' (above) is all the holidays I have been on. My trip to Australia was something else. I went right round the country, and down to the red centre, I had a multitude of experiences (almost all good), had a wonderful time, and saw a lot of places. I think it changed me. I don't know what my friends think. But then this is my site not theirs :-) Like I said, I have a second home out here.

Well, I think that's about it :-)
I hope you feel rewarded for actually making it through this far :-)
*waves* bye bye now!

And don't forget...

SMILE! You're SPECIAL :-)
