Gas here is expensive.  And I won't stand for it.  Oh, come on - you wouldn't be happy paying $2.7499 / gallon either.  Dammit - I won't do it.  I will, however, drive very far to get cheaper gas.  And I got mocked for this.  But you know what?  I worked it out, and I actually save a dollar by traveling for gas.  See, I could probably get gas for $2.71.  The cheaper gas is $2.19.  That's 52 cents a gallon.  I fill up 15 gallons.  That's roughly $7.50.  The drive out to get gas is about 30 miles.  That's 60 miles round trip.  I get about 20 miles per gallon in Rudy.  So, the trip uses 3 gallons of gas.  At $2.19 a gallon, thats about $6.50 or so I spend on the trip for gas.  Subtract that from the $7.50 I save by going for the cheaper gas, and hence... I save a dollar!  So, there - take that all you skeptics!  Now, someone mentioned that I neglected to factor in time.  Well, since I don't really have much to do, I don't really count time as a factor.  But, if you must... I equate the amount of time this trip takes up with the amount of pride that I maintain by not paying $2.75 a gallon for gas.  It equals out, so I still say that I win, with my dollar savings.  Yes, I have too much time on my hands.  And yes, $2.19 is still way too much money to pay for a frickin gallon of gas.
