Halloween in Aspen.  Holy crap.  Since the beginning of October, I've been hearing all these things about how crazy Halloween is here.  It's the holiday of the year.  I'm guessing it's because Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve are way too busy.  It's too cold, and there are thousands of more people here.  But Halloween, it's the last big hurrah before the winter chaos sets in.  Well, this Halloween I worked.  After work, I went outside, only to be greeted by a blizzard.  Not an Aspen-scale blizzard, but it was still a lot of snow for this New Yorker to see in October.  I've found myself on some Christmases waiting for the snow.  Didn't have to make it to Christmas, let alone October to see the snow here.  Not that I expected any less.  Anyway, besides the snow, Halloween indeed was one damn crazy night.  Everyone gets dressed up.  And I mean everyone.  I saw people dressed up as all sorts of things.  They were all dressed up and drunk and running around in the snow.  And by drunk, I mean everyone was really drunk.  In their costumes.  In the snow.  Halloween in Aspen is like a mini-Mardi Gras.  Good times...
