PR UPDATES

Another exciting 'World Record' week! Japanese Champion, Masakazu Goto improved his MC4 time further, now hitting a 5-lap World Record on MC4 with 1'34"38! Chris Balch lowered his already amazing KB1 5-lap WR down to 0'49"48! He also tied Masakazu's lap on MC3 with 0'17"71*. His other PRs on Special Cup were also good, these helped his SR Score past Stanley Jeram for #3 in Canada and #6 in the World on NTSC! Other NTSC activity included a quick return from Louis-Philippe Sabbagh who worked on the long boost on MC2 and set a very fast lap. This helped him to regain 8th place on NTSC! Eric Myers sent in several solid King standard PRs and moved up a standard to King C overall and #35 on NTSC!

PAL World Records were also improving, Karel van Duijvenboden hit a lap tie on BC1 1-lap with 0'17"65*! Pierre L'Hoëst is getting ever closer to #1 on PAL with some scary times on DP2 and some super WRs for CI2 with 1'09"78 and 0'13"19! Sébastien Holmière continued his pace from last week with another WR this time on GV2 lap with 0'12"04! Gerard Roodhorst worked on GV3 harder this week and after an amazing 1st lap he hit, he went on to take the WR lap to 0'14"88! Armin Huber also improved a WR this week, his new BC1 5-lap WR standing at 1'29"03!

Axel Descamps sent in more PRs and just made it to Master B this week. His Rainbow times are looking good and his MC4 went under 1'50". Andreas Runnelid also had a great week with some solid King times bringing him up to King G overall standard. Andreas is now also #5 in Sweden and #53 in the World on PAL! Dutch Champion, Michael Jongerius set some great records for DP3 this week and cut down a few points. He also landed a record for the DP3 trick (lap time). Matthias Boucher sent in 10 PRs and climbed to #23 on PAL and #10 in France. Duarte-Leite Frederic improved some PRs including a bit of nbt and climbed to #15 on PAL and #7 in France.

Sébastien Holmière has a new page for his video files, and a page has been created that holds the files of Michael Jongerius, Gerard Roodhorst and Karel van Duijvenboden. These links can be accessed through the Super Mario Kart Video Files Page.

Special thanks to Sébastien Holmière for providing us with these links!

PR UPDATES

Firstly this week we congratulate Pierre L'Hoëst who after a few PRs including a 0'13"89 WR lap at MC2 has now reached #1 on PAL after passing Sami Çetin's SR and also reaching -10! Pierre L'Hoëst is now the PAL World Champion of Super Mario Kart Time Trials! Congratulations!

Other karters also landed some great World Records! Gerard Roodhorst has been working like crazy on Ghost Valley 3 recently and has now landed two very fast PAL World Records of 1'15"26 and 0'14"85! Dutch Champion, Michael Jongerius also took a WR, this week on Donut Plains 3 5-lap with 1'20"03! On NTSC, Japanese Champion, Masakazu Goto made some impressive new NTSC World Records on Mario Circuit 3 with 1'28"57 and 0'17"44!!

A fast climber this week was our Champion of Finland, Teemu Lehmusvuo, who recently joined the site! Teemu cut some large amounts off many of his records this week and has now climbed to Master A overall standard and also to #74 in the World on PAL! With more improvements, Teemu will reach the Elites very soon! Nearby in Sweden, Andreas Runnelid is setting a few more fast records including a good lap for RR, and a nice time on MC1. He will hopefully reach sub 1'03" on MC1 and sub 1'20" on MC2 soon! Matthew McCarthy hit an interesting time this week, a 0'14"68 lap on DP1 which beats Sami Çetin's lap! Matthew now owns a British Record for DP1!

In Germany, Armin Huber set a couple of records, including a near WR lap on BC1! He is getting closer to Legend E overall, we look forward to more improvements on his route to becoming the champion of Germany. Karel van Duijvenboden made a few fast GOD times including BC1 5-lap and DP1 flap, and passed Lefevre on the PAL Players' List for the #10 position! Matthias Boucher of France improved 4 PRs and has reached Legend F overall standard and #22 on PAL. On NTSC, Ray Bergstrom cut his BC2 records a little further and is almost at Legend E overall.

TRICK AND GLITCH PAGES

This week after some suggestions from karters I did some work on the Trick and Glitch pages and created a separate WRs page for the trick and glitch records for both PAL and NTSC. These link to the Top Times for the Tricks and Glitches. However, for now i have left the Top Times tables for the tricks and glitches in the same pages as the Top Times for Non-SC driving. I will also limit the Top Times Tables for the tricks/glitches to Top 10s only. This is due to the number of karters active in trick driving being fairly low at this stage.

You can check out the links to the trick WR pages which have been added above in the links sections.

PR UPDATES

New World Records on PAL came from World Champion, Pierre L'Hoëst who managed to lower his great MC2 times to 1'13"53 and 0'13"85!! He didn't stop there as MC4 was improved also to 1'36"97 and 0'18"99! Karel van Duijvenboden set an amazing World Record on BC1 fastlap that looks really unbeatable! 0'17"55!! On NTSC Christophe Paquin set numerous World Records for the Trick and Glitch Times, these can be seen on the new Trick and Glitch World Record pages and his profile. Some great new times are been made here! Christophe also cut a few points down with some non-nbt MC3 PRs.

The Champion of Finland, Teemu Lehmusvuo, has again impressed us with a great list of new records! Many of his weaker times are being improved, and some like MC3 are now reaching the Kings even. Teemu has now reached Elite E overall standard and #69 on PAL! Keep up the great improvements Teemu! In the Netherlands, Gerard Roodhorst has been working on BC1 and broke into the 1'29"s, cutting a few points down. Michael Jongerius also made some great progress on BC1, a new vid of his near WR is available on a new link in the proof page. Champion of Switzerland, Raphael Braun made a quick return with some non-nbt times and reached GOD standard overall!

In France, Julien Holmière made a quick return and started cutting some points down with a few nbts and some non-nbts aswell. His Rainbow Road lap is great! Sébastien Holmière cuts down some points with his MC4 lap PR. Axel Descamps sets 10 PRs and nearly reaches Master A.. His KB1 improvement was great! He is very likely to reach Master A next week, and the Elites very soon too. In the U.K, Matthew McCarthy had fun with MC4 cutting down a lot of points, and is still fighting through BC3. More PRs to come from Matt soon! Champion of Sweden, Andreas Runnelid improves MC2 a little and cuts a point off.

On NTSC, Chris Balch had a great week as some fastR MC4, GV3 and RR PRs took him past Thomas Harrington for #5 in the World on NTSC! Ray Bergstrom continued his BC2 work, with a little BC1 and has made it to Legend E overall on NTSC!

NEW PHOTO ADDED TO GALLERY

A new picture has been added this week to the photo gallery, of Armin Huber from Germany. Keep the pics coming in you haven't sent any already and would like to.

PR UPDATES

I have returned to University now, so updates will continue from here for a few weeks. I have examinations starting this week, so hopefully next weekend there should be an update as normal. I will send a message to yahoogroups if anything changes.

Anyhow, for this week we have a new barrier broken by Karel van Duijvenboden on PAL with a great BC1 5-lap WR of 1'28"93! Gerard Roodhorst also kept active a bit this week with a pair of VL2 records that helped him get very close to Lefevre on the Players' List. PAL Champion, Pierre L'Hoëst played RR this week and set a nice 5-lap time along with a 0'17"35* lap WR tie! Martin Morissette on NTSC drove a new PR for MC2 5-lap.

The rest of the PAL field included British karter, Matthew McCarthy who set a U.K record on MC3 fastlap and along with other PRs, he cut his SR down to -3. Sami Çetin dropped by before examinations for a few quick PRs, a trick WR for GV1 fastlap and a small PR for CI2 fastlap that cut an SR point down (on tape and will be sent to be put on video files at a later date). In France we had Julien Holmière making some big cuts off a few fastlaps that helped him cut quite a few SR points. Sébastien Holmière got a few more points aswell off his KB1 lap. Matthias Boucher set 4 PRs and cut a few points down aswell. In Germany, Armin Huber started attacking his weaker courses and chopped enough points off to reach Legend E overall standard and pass quite a few players to #16 on PAL! In Sweden, Andreas Runnelid improved his MC3 fastlap.
