CORRECTION FOR BRACHET AXEL

    This week Brachet Axel informed us after some confusion of his SNES system and the location where he is karting from that he is actually playing on a PAL system, not NTSC. Just letting everyone know that his profile and times have been removed from NTSC and added to the PAL rankings now instead. He now stands at #143 on PAL with an overall standard of Intermediate B. We look forward to seeing your improvements Brachet!

NEW MEMBERS

    This week we have four new members, three for PAL and one for NTSC!

    Firstly a recruit from Gerard Roodhorst; we welcome Ron Roodhorst to PAL from the Netherlands with some really fast times on a few courses and some great potential. He enters PAL at Elite C overall standard, #78 on PAL and #11 in the Netherlands.

    Our next new member is also from the Netherlands, Mark Prins enters the PAL rankings at #106 with an overall standard of Master G.

    From Australia to PAL version this week we have Nick Moncrieff-Hill who also has some really strong times on a few courses and great potential on others. He enters PAL at #101 with a Master B overall standard.

    On NTSC, from Canada we have Andrew Todd Beal who has driven a great set of times entering the NTSC World Rankings at #75 and also #21 in Canada with an overall standard of Elite E.

PR UPDATES

    On NTSC, Pierre L'Hoëst has been continuing his karting career with some great new WRs! He hit MC2 fastlap to 0'12"42, MC4 fastlap to 0'18"19, and took the RR fastlap to 0'16"86! He hit many other great PRs along with these and this has brought him up to -12 SR Score this week! On PAL, Gerard Roodhorst hit a few PRs including a suprise WR improvement on GV3 lap with 0'14"84! Karel van Duijvenboden made a shockingly fast KB2 lap WR of 0'10"60 this week!

    Back on NTSC, Japanese karters were once again active with a return of the 2nd fastest Japanese karter, Toshi Miura! He sent us a few PRs to start off his return to SMK that brought him up to #8 on NTSC. Although there is a large SR Score gap, the next karter ahead on the list is Japanese Champion, Masakazu Goto. Hopefully we will see Toshi make his climb to catch up now! Robin Usher continued his PRs and made some large cuts off a few courses reaching Intermediate A overall standard very near to the Advanced standards. There area also 3 karters just ahead on the list, with some more PRs Robin should be able to pass them. In Brazil, Alencar Faria hit 3 PRs cutting his SR Score past the -2.000 barrier. Leonardo Vieira also hit 5 PRs and he climbed to Elite D overall standard and passed a few karters up tp #70 on NTSC. In Canada, Chris Balch hit RR PRs but Martin Morissette scraped ahead for #5 on NTSC and #2 in Canada with strong MC2 and MC4 NBT PRs. Simon Laflamme made some NBT records that got him past -11 SR Score and back to 3rd place on NTSC. Jonathan Girard took DP3 into the Legends and made a nice NBT MC2 time. Jason Fraser's latest PRs helped him pass former champion, Stanley Jeram for #4 in Canada and #11 on NTSC. Pier-Yves Lemire's latest PRs also helped him in competition with Drew Blumfield of U.S.A. Drew submitted a CI1 lap with a video (added to video files page), but Pier-Yves took the lead with big cuts on quite a few PRs landing him on #80 on NTSC.

    On PAL, in Germany, Sebastian Stellmacher makes a few PRs cutting a few points down. In the U.K, Alasdair Morrison hit 3 PRs and passed Django Vaal in the process for #69 on PAL. Matthew McCarthy cut off a point with a DP3 PR. In France, William Jonas was again very active PR'ing on as many courses as possible. He worked hard cutting points off and climbed to Legend C this week. Harold Christensen cut off some points with strong Legend and GOD PRs. Matthias Boucher hit two PRs on CI1 5-lap Non-NBT and GV3 1-lap Non-NBT cutting a few points off his SR Score. In the Netherlands, Michael Jongerius made some quick PRs on MC3 with good results.

NEW MEMBER

    A new member to the site to PAL version this week. We welcome Frank Sweet from Australia who enters all of his times to the PAL ranking. He is pleased with his MC1 times so far and will be working on improving his other courses soon to climb the ranks. He enters the PAL rankings at #118 in the World and #5 in Australia with an overall standard of Pro D.

PR UPDATES

    We have had 26 members karting this week! This is the highest amount of players karting within a week for an update. The previous highest was a few years back at 25 members. We Start off with a new NTSC WR for Simon Laflamme on BC2 1-lap of 0'19"61! On PAL, Karel van Duijvenboden amazed us all with his new Rainbow Road lap WR of 0'17"29!

    Heavy karting took place on NTSC; in Japan we have the 2nd fastest Japanese karter, Toshi Miura reaching -5 SR Score with some great improvements on MC1, KB1&2 and DP3. As he improves he will gradually catch up to Masakazu Goto. Robin Usher made some good cuts to continue his work from last week. He has been using Bowser more now and has climbed to Advanced C overall standard. He also passed a few karters to reach #107 on NTSC. He is improving at a great rate and should easily reach the Expert standards with his next lot of improvements. In Brazil, Alencar Faria defended his position and climbed to #12 on NTSC with a large set of PRs. Leonardo Vieira also made a big cut with some high standards on courses like CI2. He reaches Elite A overall standard and #64 on NTSC. In Canada, Martin Morissette passes Gonzalez for #4 on NTSC with his latest NBT records on MC2 and some good work on GV1 and BC2. Chris Balch made some further improvement to his Rainbow Road times. Jason Fraser made some good cuts to his MC4 NBT times and is catching up to Harrington. Jonathan Girard has been working on catching up to Faria and Fraser; Jeram is also just ahead. Jonathan's latest PRs on GV1, DP2, CI2 and RR have cut off good points. We will see where this race ends up next week. Andrew Todd Beal joined the site recently and has been working hard cutting many seconds off many of his times. He has reached Elite B overall standard, #65 in the World on NTSC and #18 in Canada. He has great potential and we are sure to see big improvements from him again. Nathan Cromwell has been working on his Mushroom Cup times and has reached Advanced B overall standard so far. His new records have defended him well against Usher who is attacking close by. Pier-Yves Lemire has made a long list of new records, making it to Elite F overall standard and #78 on NTSC. In U.S.A, Drew Blumfield has some great potential and is now using it to destroy many of his weaker times. He has made massive cuts off KB1 and VL2 along with faster GV1 and RR PRs. He has now jumped up to Elite E overall standard (near Elite D) and #75 overall on NTSC. Expect him to fly up the ranks further as he hits other courses. In France on NTSC, Pierre L'Hoëst made a small PR for VL2.

    On PAL, in the U.K, Steven Cotton returned with some PRs that have brought him to #80 overall on PAL. In Sweden, we also had a return from Andreas Runnelid who was testing out his VL2 fastlap. He made a good result cutting a few points down. Swedish Champion, Kalle Videkull hit a GOD time for Mario Circuit 1 and reached -6 SR Score this week. In the Netherlands, Ron Roodhorst made some fast Non-NBT PRs for Mario Circuit 2 and scraped through to Elite B overall standard and #75 on PAL. Gerard Roodhorst made a small MC3 Non-NBT PR. Just ahead of Gerard, Michael Jongerius also hit a strong MC3 PR, though this was for a fastlap. In Germany, Sebastian Stellmacher has been making good progress with a GOD time for GV1 with some platform jumping, soem platform jumping for a GV2 lap and NBT records for MC1 and MC4. He has climbed to #8 on PAL and is right behind Boucher. German Champion, Armin Huber worked on VL1 and VL2 lap and KB2 lap, cutting a few points down off his SR Score. In France, Brachet Axel made some great improvements cutting a lot of points off. He has climbed up to #131 on PAL and has reached an overall standard of Semi-Pro F. Clement Papon improves two PRs slightly cutting down his SR Score. William Jonas makes another strong set of improvements, mostly Non-NBT with some NBT times. This has cut some of his SR Score down.

PR UPDATES

    We have a few new WRs from PAL World Champion, Karel van Duijvenboden. After a battle on CI1 lap he took the record down to 0'10"93! He also attacked KB1 fastlap and made a new WR of 0'09"57. Karel also continued with RR 5-lap and hit a great new WR of 1'27"32! Also in the Netherlands, Ron Roodhorst worked on Donut Plains times with some good cuts. His SR score has been cut down well and he is approaching Elite A. Ron is ranked at #73 on PAL. Gerard Roodhorst improved 2 PRs and slightly improved his SR Score. In France, Matthias Boucher made some strong NBT improvements and pushed his SR Score further. Clement Papon hit 3 PRs this week and is still chipping away at his SR Score towards to GOD standard. He is now #18 on PAL. Harold Christensen made a good sub 1'30" BC1 PR and has passed Clementy and Gava for #5 in France and #14 in the World on PAL. Antoine Olivier climbed to #28 on PAL with 6 new PRs. In Germany, Armin Huber made some very fast NBT PRs for MC1 lap, GV1 5-lap, MC4 lap and VL2 flap. Sebastian Stellmacher has been fast approaching with more GOD standard NBT times. Swedish champion, Kalle Videkull has been working on some courses and made 6 fast GOD standard PRs. Andreas Runnelid climbs to #60 on PAL with a DP3 5-lap PR. In the U.K, Matthew McCarthy made a very fast record for DP3 fastlap that is also a British record. This cut off a few SR points. Alasdair Morrison made 2 PRs this week.

    On NTSC, in U.S.A, Drew Blumfield made a massive cut on Rainbow Road with some really fast times. He also hit a fast GV3 lap. With more improvements as large as this on other weaker courses he will climb very high on the NTSC World Rankings. So far he has reached Elite D overall standard and #73 on NTSC. In Canada, Pier-Yves Lemire PR'ed on BC2, VL1 and DP3 resulting in a climb to #77 on NTSC and Elite E overall standard. Andrew Todd Beal reaches the Kings at King G overall standard and #62 on NTSC with some great improvements including KB1 in which he has already reached GOD times. Jonathan Girard made a big climb this week to #11 on NTSC and #5 on Canada with a good number of PRs including some GOD times. He is starting to catch up to Jason Fraser who is just ahead with strong VL1 and RR PRs. Jason has climbed to #10 on NTSC this week. In Brazil, Alencar Faria made some good improvements, the lap records of which were fast GOD times, he is close to Fraser and Girard and very close to Harrington on the NTSC rankings. In Japan, Kazutaka Yamauchi made a return to SMK! He has hit many new PRs including a nice long boost record for MC2 and some good GOD times for KB1. He has climbed to Legend E overall standard and #30 on NTSC. In France, Pierre L'Hoëst made a great RR PR of 1'25"00.

NEW GERMAN SMK TIME TRIAL SITE

    This week German Champion Armin Huber informed us that there is a new German Time Trial Page for SMK. It can be viewed at http://www.mariokart-germany.de.vu. The link is also above amongst the links sections.

NEW MEMBER

    We have a fast karter entering the NTSC Rankings this week. Joe Bernier from U.S.A enters the NTSC Players' List at #37 with an overall standard of King A. He is also #14 in U.S.A.

PR UPDATES

    A few more WRs were set on PAL by champion karter, Karel van Duijvenboden. An even faster CI1 lap was set of 0'10"92! And he pushed Rainbow Road further with a time of 1'27"20! Also in the Netherlands, Gerard Roodhorst made a great pair of KB2 non-nbt times. In Australia, Frank Sweet who joined the site recently has been setting a lot of PRs and climbed far to Master C overall standard, #103 in the World on PAL and #4 in Australia. He is making his way towards #1 in Australia, if he keeps up this pace of improvements, he may reach there some time in the near future! In Germany, Sebastian Stellmacher cut some good time off CI2 and VL2. He has now climbed up to #6 in the World on PAL and is getting closer to German Champion, Armin Huber. Armin has also made a good set of GOD times, some NBT and some Non-NBT. In Sweden, Kalle Videkull improved well on VL1 with some strong times. In the U.K, Alasdair Morisson has nearly made it to the Kings with some good PRs, and climbs a position to #68 on PAL. Matthew McCarthy cuts a point with a fast DP3 time. In France, Clement Papon cuts a few points with some GV3 PRs. Matthias Boucher makes a RR non-nbt PR. William Jonas hit a lot of good PRs, including some nice MC2 long boost times and has climbed to Legend B overall standard and #21 in the World on PAL.

    On NTSC, in U.S.A Drew Blumfield makes a small improvement to RR fastlap. In Canada, Pier-Yves Lemire has been busy hitting PRs on a number of courses reaching a few more King times on the way. His overall standard is now Elite C and his rankings are #68 in the World on NTSC and #19 in Canada. Jason Fraser makes some good KB1 improvements this week. Martin Morissette is getting closer to #1 in Canada with some PRs for BC2, KB1 and VL1. In Brazil, Alencar Faria made some fast GOD times and continues to cut down his SR Score. He has climbed to #11 on NTSC. In Japan, Robin Usher hit more PRs on his weaker courses and cut a lot of points off his SR Score to reach the Expert standards at Expert G overall and #107 on NTSC. With more improvements he can make it through to the Semi-Pro standards in no time. Toshi Miura hit a KB2 fastlap this week.
