Simon Laflamme received a link to Brian Gallo's picture of his GV1 times. Not a video but still great to see his top 5 on the screen. Brian held one of the longest standing 5-lap WRs that was for GV1 5-lap on NTSC. The link has been added to the SMK Proof and Video Files Page.
NEW MEMBERS
To new members to the site this week!
Firstly on NTSC from Japan we have Yasuyuki Kobayashi who sent in all of his Time Trial Records and enters the NTSC World Rankings at #71 with an overall standard of Master A.
On PAL we welcome Marius Hukkelċs who is our first member from Norway to the site. Marius has been very active on MK64 and now sends us all of his SMK Time Trial Records. He has entered the PAL World Rankings at #109 with an overall standard of Pro E.

PR UPDATES
On PAL, Dutch Champion Karel van Duijvenboden breaks out of a WR tie on MC3 lap by setting a new WR of 0'17"60! On NTSC, Brazilian Champion Oliver Segarra Gonzalez is climbing to much higher ranks with several great new PRs on all round courses. New videos can be seen in his page. He has climbed up to #4 on NTSC! Carlos André Salles made some good PRs on MC1 including a sub 1'00" and some other great records that have helped him up to King B overall standard and #34 on NTSC. Eduardo Marques has also been making great progress and is starting to catch Carlos and Marco in Brazil. Eduardo made many new records on most courses and climbed up to #47 in the World on NTSC with an overall standard of King D.
In Canada, Jonathan Girard made a few PRs and cut some SR points down. He is now #48 on NTSC and #12 in Canada. Chris Williams climbs to #21 on NTSC after 7 new PRs this week. Chris Balch made a fast Non-NBT time on KB2 that cut some SR points. Antonio Abdo made a PR on DP2 and some good times on a few Special Cup courses, some of which were in the GOD standards. He is in very close competition with Chris Williams but takes the slight lead with #20 on NTSC. Canadian Champion, Simon Laflamme set some strong Non-NBT GV2 times close to the WRs and a great KB2 Non-NBT 5-lap time.
On PAL, in the U.K, Jonathan Wheatley has been hitting more strong PRs on many courses and is now ranked at #54 on PAL with a King E overall standard. Alasdair Morisson has also hit many PRs and is making his way further into the Elite G standard, and should reach Elite F very soon. In France, Clement Papon hit 3 PRs and cut a few points down to reach #27 on PAL and #12 in France. Antoine Olivier has been busy with PRs and has made it to King A overall standard, #36 in the World on PAL and #17 in France. In Switzerland, Serge Ludescher made a quick comeback to reach a Swiss record on KB1 and a strong PR on VL2 lap, this cut some points down off his SR Score. In Sweden, Andreas Runnelid made some good Non-NBT cuts with 5 new PRs this week.

NEW MEMBERS
On NTSC this week we have a new member from Brazil, Alencar Faria. Alencar has some great times, a few of which he has used new boosting techniques to achieve. He enters the NTSC World Rankings at #25 in the World and #2 in Brazil, with an overall standard of Legend E.
Our second new member is more of a transfer. Tobias Biroga e-mailed us this week explaining that he was using an emulator to kart and has just realised to play with a snes. He has now driven all of his Time Trial records on PAL SMK so we have placed him on the PAL World Rankings after removing him from NTSC. Tobias has entered PAL at #107 in the World and #12 in Germany with a Pro C overall standard.
PR UPDATES
This week on PAL, Dutch Champion Karel van Duijvenboden has set two great WRs, these are NBT DP3 lap with 0'15"48 and a KB2 lap WR of 0'10"84! On NTSC, Oliver Segarra Gonzalez worked on DP2 with a nice 5-lap PR and a new WR for the fastlap with 0'16"75! A video can be seen on his page. Also in Brazil, Carlos André Salles made some good records and came close to reaching King A. He should be able to reach it next week and then the Legends are just ahead. Eduardo Marques worked on many courses making small cuts to his records. He has climbed up to #45 on NTSC. In Canada, Jonathan Girard has been competing against Eduardo for their NTSC rank with some good PRs, a climb to King D and #44 on NTSC! Chris Williams hit 8 PRs and has reached Legend D overall standard, #20 on NTSC and #7 in Canada. Chris Balch makes a very fast Non-NBT record for KB2 and cuts a few SR points down.
On PAL, in Germany, Armin Huber makes some GV1 PRs and cuts some SR score down. In the U.K, Jonathan Wheatley makes a climb to #50 on PAL and #7 in the U.K with some strong new records and also a climb to King D overall standard. Alasdair Morrison made some good cuts including some King times that have moved him up to Elite E overall standard, #79 in the World on PAL and #15 in the U.K. In Norway, Marius Hukkelċs has worked on his Mushroom Cup and Flower Cup times with some good results so far, he will be working on Star and Special Cups next. So far he has made a good climb to #102 on PAL with a Pro A overall standard. In France, Clement Papon makes a climb to Legend F with some good record. Antoine Olivier climbs to #34 on PAL and #16 in France with 3 PRs. Matthias Boucher does some good NBT work on MC1 and makes a Non-NBT RR PR that helps him up to #9 on PAL and #3 in France.

NEW MEMBERS
We have three new members to the site this week, two on PAL and one for NTSC!
Firstly we welcome Django Vaal from the Netherlands who enters the site with all of his PAL Records to #100 in the World on PAL and #14 in the Netherlands with a Master G overall standard.
Our next new member is Harold Christensen from France, who is a great F-Zero player on snes. He has also been into SMK for a long time and has some great times in which he has even used some NBT driving to get faster laps. He enters high up in the PAL World Rankings at #16 with a #8 ranking in France. His overall standard is Legend B.
Our new member to NTSC is Joseph Lillo from U.S.A. Joseph sends in all of his times that have ranked him at #71 in the World on NTSC with an Elite G overall standard.

NEW MEMBERS
We have some great news this week on PAL! Karel van Duijvenboden did some crazy improvements to many PRs in one week including some solid times with the long boost on MC2! He has now passed Pierre L'Hoëst's SR Score to make him the new PAL overall World Champion! Congratulations Karel! However, Pierre has said that he would fight back between now and the new year, so expect a fight to the finish over the next few weeks!
Michael Jongerius worked on the long boost method of MC2 with some great results including a 0'13"31 lap Record! and a large SR cut putting him closer to Huber on the rankings. On NTSC, we have a new World Record from Oliver Segarra Gonzalez which is 0'11"23 on Mario Circuit 1 Lap! Along with some KB2 PRs and a DP2 PR this helped Oliver up to #3 in the World on NTSC!
The rest of the PAL side were very active; in the Netherlands Gerard Roodhorst hit some Non-NBT PRs that are both GOD standard on DP1. In Sweden, Andreas Runnelid made a BC1 PR. In Norway, Marius Hukkelċs sent us the second half of his karting session which was for Star and Special Cups. He has some great potential and can really climb far if he does another round of PRs on all courses. So far he has climbed up to Master A overall standard and #92 on PAL! In Switzerland, Raphael Braun came back with some Non-NBT PRs, including a Swiss record taken back from Serge on KB1. In the U.K, David Reed climbs to Master F overall standard and #98 in the World on PAL with 6 new PRs. In France, Antoine Olivier gets close to the Legends with some new PRs. He climbs to #33 on PAL and #16 in France. David Bonne hits 5 strong PRs and climbs to Legend E overall standard, #23 in the World on PAL and #11 in France. In Germany, Tobias Biroga made PRs on most courses and improved a great amount to Master B overall standard, #94 in the World on PAL and #11 in Germany.
On NTSC, In Brazil, Alencar Faria sent in several PRs that have helped him to climb further on the NTSC rankings to #19! He is also at Legend D overall standard and will improve again soon. Carlos André Salles has set some solid Legend PRs and has landed on King A overall standard just a few points short of Legend G. He will make it by next week and perhaps climb a few more ranks aswell. In Canada, we have a few PRs from Chris Williams. Chris Balch has worked hard on VL2 with some good results and also a DP2 NBT lap time. He is getting closer to Canadian Champion, Laflamme. Jonathan Girard sets some new PRs and reaches King C overall standard and #41 on NTSC.

PR UPDATES
This week our new PAL World Champion, Karel van Duijvenboden karts to defend his title! He has done so in style with 3 great PAL WRs and other PRs. He took DP1 5-lap down to 1'12"45, worked on the long boost of MC2 by hitting a 1'10"64 time and did a Non-NBT lap on RR with 0'17"31! On NTSC, Brazilian Champion Oliver Segarra Gonzalez made a great new NBT KB2 WR that is 0'56"50!
The rest of NTSC had some great competition, with the 3rd fastest Brazilian, Carlos André Salles reaching Legend G overall standard with some good PRs. In Canada, Chris Balch made some great VL2 records, the 5-lap being sub 50 seconds. Martin Morrisette did some nice NBT work on MC1 and DP2. Jonathan Girard climbed to King B overall standard after some PRs on various courses. Canadian Champion, Simon Laflamme is defending his title of Canada with some very strong results on both VLs! In U.S.A, newcomer Joseph Lillo is making many new PRs and has climbed to Elite E overall standard so far. He is also ranked at #69 in the World on NTSC and #33 in U.S.A.
On PAL, in France, Matthias Boucher improved many of his NBT times and some Non-NBT aswell. He has cut a lot of SR score off wih his results. David Bonne reaches #22 on PAL and #10 in France with a few PRs for GV1 and VL2. Antoine Olivier hits 3 PRs and is now very close to reaching the Legends. Franck Mazières breaks the 1'00" barrier on KB1 and also lands a GOD time on MC3 lap.
In the U.K, Matthew McCarthy gets some results with the long boost on MC2 and sets a U.K record for the lap and also a GOD PR for the 5-lap. The cut in SR helped him regain the #7 position on PAL back from Swedish Champion, Kalle Videkull. In Germany, Tobias Biroga has been very active learning the strategy for many courses and cutting off many seconds in places. He has reached the Elites and Elite G overall standard and is ranked at #90 in the World on PAL. Germany Champion, Armin Huber works on some of his NBT times and makes some good cuts. His Non-NBT VL1 PR gained him quite a few points. In the Netherlands, Django Vaal has also been karting and improving some of is weaker courses. He has climbed quickly to Master D overall standard, expect him to reach the Elites soon! Django's PAL World Rank is now #96. Gerard Roodhorst sets very strong GOD Non-NBT PRs on DP1 and DP3.
