NEW MEMBERS

We have two new members this week:

Firstly, to NTSC version we have Pieter Lammers from the Netherlands. Pieter joins the NTSC World Rankings at #92 with an overall standard of Pro A.

Secondly we have a new karter from Australia to PAL version; we welcome David Meister who enters at #130 in the World on PAL, #7 in Australia with an overall standard of Semi-Pro C.

Welcome to the site both of you, keep on karting!

PR UPDATES

We have some great news this week as Chris Balch sets a new KB1 5-lap WR of 0'48"55 along with other great NBT PRs and has passed Jamie White to become the new NTSC Time Trial World Champion of SMK! Congratulations Chris! Simon Laflamme slightly improved his KB1 fastlap World Record to 0'09"36. Joe Bernier in U.S.A has also had a fantastic week with some massive improvements including his first World Record for Donut Plains 1 5-lap of 1'10"73! Joe has reached #14 on NTSC this week. On PAL, in Germany the battle continued with Sebastian Stellmacher and Armin Huber. Sebastian hit two KB1 WRs on PAL of 0'51"22 and 0'09"47! This cut some points down, but it wasn't quite enough to compete with Armin's attack this week. Armin Huber hit the KB and VL courses well along with some BC2 PRs and has just managed to regain the German title from Stellmacher! The battle doesn't end here, we will see where this goes next week! Well done to both of you for your great times!

The rest of the NTSC activity included some good improvements from Ha Nyan in Japan who has now passed Michael Liem on the NTSC rankings. However, in Canada, Haroon Subhani fought hard after learning some NBT. Haroon improved many of his times, cutting off a lot of points, particularly on KB1! He has now reached GOD standard overall and #18 in the World on NTSC! Jonathan Girard has seen Joe Bernier's success in the past weeks and also made a target to improve to pass Alencar Faria. He worked on a few courses using NBT in places such as MC1 with great results so far and has passed Faria for #8 on NTSC! Pier-Yves Lemire hit 4 PRs cutting off some points and is getting closer to the Kings. In U.S.A, Drew Blumfield hit his weaker MC2 time, cutting several seconds off resulting in a big SR drop. His Rainbow Road PR has also reached GOD standard. He has now reached Legend E overall standard, #33 in the World on NTSC and #12 in U.S.A. He has a few more weaker tracks left to do which should see him through to the higher Legends easily once they are hit. From there GOD standard should be easily reachable! Craig Lubbers improved some of his weaker times and also worked on a few times with NBT such as MC4 with some good results so far. Craig has now reached Legend G overall standard.

On PAL, Norwegian Champion, Marius Hukkelås has hit more King times and a Legend time which is helping to raise his standards. He is now Elite A overall standard, just a little short of reaching the Kings. He should be able to reach the Kings with ease on his next set of PRs. Marius is now ranked at #68 on PAL. In France, William Jonas has been after the VL2 5-lap WR and has hit a very fast 52 second time this week along with a solid lap. Antoine Olivier hit a few small PRs cutting down some of his SR Score this week. Harold Christensen improves his DP1 lap. In the U.K, Matthew McCarthy slightly improves his MC3 British Record fastlap. Chris Clark has been making further improvements since reaching the Kings. Some of these were improvements on his weaker times to cut off more SR score, and some strengthened his stronger times. He is now King E overall standard and #57 in the World on PAL. In the Netherlands, Gerard Roodhorst improves 3 PRs and so does PAL Champion Karel van Duivenboden. Karel is also getting close to the VL2 5-lap WR, so Jonas may have some competition here for the next few weeks.

PR UPDATES

One karter has really impressed us this week on the NTSC field this week and he is none other than Joe Bernier! He has cut an amazing amount of SR Score off in one week completely destroying some of his previous PRs and reaching #8 in the World on NTSC and #2 in U.S.A! To add to the great results, Joe has also hit a WR on Choco Island 1 5-lap of 0'56"55! Joe announced a short absence from SMK as he goes to travel for a while, but expect some great new records from him when he returns! NTSC World Champion, Chris Balch worked on NBT Mario Circuit 3 until he got the time he was after. He returned with a 1'26"88 WR for the 5-lap! On PAL, a WR from Karel van Duijvenboden on KB1 1-lap of 0'09"42 looked crazy, as did Sebastian Stellmacher's new 0'50"90 5-lap WR! Matthias Boucher also managed to improve his KB2 NBT 5-lap WR to 0'57"69!

The remainder of PAL activity included some good improvements on VL2 for Antoine Olivier which are bringing him through the Legend D standard well. Harold Christensen made a KB1 5-lap PR. In Germany, Armin Huber defended his position well with some very strong NBT times and a great VL2 fastlap. He has climbed to #4 in the World on PAL. In the U.K, Chris Clark improved his VL2 5-lap. In Norway, Marius Hukkelås has been further strengthening his records with his latest set of PRs that have pushed him to King F overall and #64 in the World on PAL. In Switzerland, Raphael Braun improved his KB2 5-lap.

Back on NTSC, Ha Nyan in Japan has set some good long boost times for MC2 and a few other NBT and Non-NBT PRs that have helped him to Legend A overall standard. He is getting close to reaching GOD standard overall. The fast-climbing karter from Canada, Haroon Subhani is making good progress and moving up through the GOD standards with several new PRs experimenting with NBTs as well as Non-NBT. He has climbed to #16 on NTSC and #7 in Canada. Jonathan Girard hit 7 PRs with some strong GOD times that have brought him into -6 SR Score. Pier-Yves Lemire made it into the Kings at King G overall standard with his latest PRs putting him at #71 on NTSC. In U.S.A, Drew Blumfield made a big cut on his weaker GV3 times and set a few other PRs and has climbed up to Legend D overall standard, #28 in the World on NTSC and #8 in U.S.A. Craig Lubbers did some NBT MC1 and Non-NBT driving for his other new PRs resulting in a climb to Legend F with a #37 World Ranking on NTSC and #15 position in U.S.A. Jon Tabor returned to SMK with some strong Rainbow Road times.

CHARLES PICHÉ

Following the big 'site cleanup' and the validation process initiated 2 years ago, we were unable to make contact with Charles Piché who still had some false times. After searching, Simon Laflamme and Jonathan Girard managed to contact him and requested that he drives these records again on Time Trial to fully validate his profile. However Charles replied that he wasn't interested in driving them again, being fully aware that this would lead to his removal. To Charles, if you do change your mind and can drive a full set of Time Trial records in the future, you are welcome to join the NTSC rankings again.

NEW PHOTO ADDED
