ARCHIBALD LEFEVRE HITTING SERIOUS PRS!!
Archibald Lefevre has karted on nearly all courses this week making some great big cuts on his times since he had last played! Koopa Beach 1 was taken down by 6 seconds making great SR points, GV2, VL1 and DP3 were also great cuts!! Archibald has managed to climb to King C on the overall standards and also passed many players to become #7 on PAL and #2 in France!! If he keeps this pace up we may have another Legend soon!!

LOUIS-PHILIPPE SABBAGH : THE FIRST NTSC LEGEND A!!
Louis-Philippe Sabbagh, NTSC World Champion has managed to reach Legend A overall standard. Even greater news is that he is also 1/3 of the way to GOD from the 1.000 SR!! He achieved two nice WRs on VL1 and BC1 fastlaps along with some great Ghost Valley times. GV1 was jumped successfully at 4/5. 25 points left till GOD overall, and it looks as though Louis-Philippe is going for it!!

MICHAEL LIEM TESTING MC1 WITH CRAZY STRATEGY!
It has been a super week for Michael Liem. Firstly some PRs from the previous week that were late due to yahoogroups problems are in. Those were two nice laps for GV3 and RR. Mario Circuit 1 was Michael's course this week... After practicing Louis-Philippe's special MC1 lap strategy, Michael was able to cut his fastlap down, then further and eventually landing some nice laps under 11"90!!! The 5-lap was looking interesting as Michael experimented to see if it would be useful there. After further attempts, new MC1 5-lap and 1-lap WRs arrived. This is making the fight for who will get to sub 1'00" first very interesting. Michael is real close now as he has taken the WR off Charles Piché. Michael is half way towards Legend A so far, we will see what happens next week......

NICOLAS CLEMENTY AT LEGEND C ON PAL!
Nicolas also had a try on the MC1 lap strategy this week, and confirming that it is a bit harder to do on PAL and that it's not going to help PAL 5-lap times to improve because of how far out the kart has to slide. However, Nicolas did use the technique to improve his lap which passed Peeters there! A tie with Ademir Cortes on the 5-lap followed with some other nice PRs here and there including two GOD times! Nicolas has now reached Legend C on overall standards!!

A nice Mario Circuit 1 5-lap and 1-lap time happened here that is getting Stan very close to Legend A.

Joseph Hurtgen just missed the WR on KB2 5-lap this week, by 0.04. A nice GOD time however, and also the 1-lap went under 12 seconds taking a lot of important SR points off. Joseph Hurtgen has now reached Legend G standard overall and is hoping to catch up to a Former World Champion of NTSC, Travis Nelson.

THIS WEEK'S NEWS
As many of you know, there has been conversation into the PAL with NTSC converter situation. Michael Liem of NTSC is using this system and has been discovered that the difference in the speed that it runs might be putting some effect into the performance. After researching this we havent found an exact trend that it is either easier or harder, although some karters have discovered some things, like Rainbow Road (it has been easier to make corner jumps there). So far we can only really say that we have no option yet that we can choose to solve the problem. For the time being we just keep on karting as normal as we continue to discuss the matter. My apologies for not being able to participate much in the conversation across yahoogroups. That brings my to my next matter.....
I have been in so much stress this week with Computing exams. So I had been revising so much over the weekend and past few days. I am not happy with how they went, but my coursework grade (40% of the total mark) was high, so when I re-take my exams in January, I am certain of a higher grade. I know many of you are having exams at this time of the year, while we are on the subject I'd just like to wish you all good luck. I still have remaining examinations on the 4th, 6th, 8th and 15th of June. So I will be busy, which is why I seem to be absent from AIM so much nowadays. I have a week off College next week, and summer holidays are starting 18th July I think which will mean plenty of time to start on some projects, spend more time on the site (as I may only be going on holiday for 2 weeks or so as opposed to 4 last year). I guess that is all the extra stuff that needs to be mentioned this week, we can continue to chat over AIM and discuss matters on yahoogroups, hopefully I will find a minute to join in too.

It has been a while since Julien Chabanis had karted last. Now he has returned with a great set of new PRs, some of the times being in the Legends and a GOD VL1 Lap record. LOUIS-PHILIPPE SABBAGH GETTING CLOSER TO GOD OVERALL STANDARD!!
Louis-Philippe Sabbaghhas been improving on the MC3 5-lap and 1-lap this week and is nearly going under 1'32" there, he may be able to take the WRs even soon. Nice attempts at DP1 with a WR taken off Gallo on the 5-lap. Koopa Beach 2 WR went under 1'01" when it was taken off Hurtgen this week. Louis-Philippe is now only 12 points from GOD!! Can he do it within the next few weeks?

JOSEPH HURTGEN PASSES TRAVIS NELSON!
NTSC Legend F Karter, Joseph Hurtgen has been trying this week to pass Travis Nelson. Mnay courses were attempted including the Bowser Castles, Mario Circuits and Donut Plains 3. The special PR was a WR on Koopa Beach 2 which was later taken back by Louis-Philippe Sabbagh this week. Joseph has however made it past Travis to become #3 on NTSC and #6 in the World on NTSC!!

STANLEY JERAM WITH THREE SUPRISE WRS!!
Stanley Jeram Karted on Rainbow Road today after a lot of experimentation on the PAL with NTSC cartridge. It was a great success being similar to Ghost Valley 3 and it looks like there is more potential here on the 5-lap. It will be interesting to see who breaks 1'26"00 first. It is possible by the speed of the fastlaps so far. Another great WR was driven on Donut Plains 3 fastlap, this opens up more potential on the 5-lap, making times under 1'19" even possible.

RAPHAEL BRAUN NEARLY KING D
Raphael Braun drove 12 PRs this week which have lowered his SR further. Low 1'02"s are driven on MC1, a pair of Legend G times on GV2, sub 1'50" and sub 1'40" on BC2 and BC3 respectively. Raphael was also passed by Julien this week but made a tie SR with Pereda, leaving him at #10 on PAL. Nearly reaching King D, Raphael is definitely a karter to watch out for, if he keeps up the pace he will reach the Legends soon!

Jon Stein is back again for more PRs and a higher placin on the NTSC Players' List! A nice set of King times were driven on KB1 this week along with some other nice Elite times. NEW MEMBERS
A new member to the PAL section this week and not only that, but this is a new Player at Legend level! Pierre L'Hoëst is our new entry from France with a great SR Score on Legend G near Legend F and reaching #5 on the PAL Players' List!! He already has two GOD times!!
The second new member was recruited by Stanley Jeram. Glen Noronha from Canada, enters the NTSC Players' List at #50 with an overall standard of Apprentice B.
