NEW MEMBERS
We have two new members this week! An NTSC and a PAL player have been added.
First up from U.S.A is Dann Slingerland who has entered the NTSC Players' List at #67 with a Pro G overall standard.
Secondly, a new member from France to PAL version; Antoine Olivier who enters the PAL Players' List at #78 with a Master D overakk standard.
NEW VIDEO FILES ADDED
Video files of Karel Van Duijvenboden's BC1 1-lap WR, GV2 non-nbt time and BC3 PRs (including lap WR) have been added to the Dutch karter's video files page. The link to the Dutch page can be found in the SMK Video Files page.
PR UPDATES
This week, Sébastien Holmière took 3 PAL WRs! He worked on CI2 well and drove times of 1'09"35 and 0'13"15! He then also his a 0'10"97 that is a 0.01 cut off from Pierre's time. Well done with the WRs Sébastien! The rest of the French activity included French Champion, Pierre L'Hoëst who made a small PR on Rainbow Road 5-lap this week. Julien Holmière hit a nice nbt lap for GV2 and has now passed Kalle Videkull for #5 on PAL! Matthias Boucher made a pair of KB2 times and just missed the GOD time for the 5-lap. But he made a climb on the Players' List to #20 on PAL! In Germany, Armin Huber hit a pair of MC4 Non-NBT records and cut a few points down.
In the Netherlands, Karel van Duijvenboden was on fire with PRs again with great NBT records for all the MCs and a nice NBT time also for DP1! He has reached the -2 SR and is now #8 on PAL! Matthew McCarthy was improving his U.K records on MC3 and MC4 this week with some nice NBT times which are gradually getting faster. He is reaching some barriers now with MC3 and will hopefully break them soon. In Sweden, Andreas Runnelid improved his MC4 5-lap and cut some points down. Over on NTSC, Martin Morissette worked on his Non-NBT CI1 and MC3 times and made some nice results so far! Canadian Champion, Simon Laflamme made a quick return, also having played CI1 and made a PR for his 5-lap time.

NEW MEMBER
Some great news this week as we welcome a new karter from Japan! Toshi Miura sends us all of his records and enters the NTSC World Rankings at #47 with an NTSC Overall Standard of King G. Welcome to the site Toshi! We look forward to seeing his improvements!

PR UPDATES
A Few new WRs this week, on PAL Armin Huber attacked BC1 more and took a new PAL WR to 1'28"73!! He also drove a great lap to go with it. His other PRs also cut some points down and he reached #15 on PAL! Julien Holmière of France set a new WR for MC1 lap to 0'11"72 on PAL! On the NTSC side, Martin Morissette made a few PRs including a slight improvement on his NTSC BC1 5-lap WR to 1'26"81!
The rest of the French activity included a great GOD time from Champion, Pierre L'Hoëst on PAL for Rainbow Road 5-lap! Matthias Boucher reached #18 on PAL after a few PRs including a sub 1'00" on KB1. Our new member from last week, Antoine Olivier has sent in a large list of improvements and is making good progress so far. He has reached the Elite F overall standard and #73 on PAL. Karel van Duijvenboden set two PRs this week, the DP1 lap being very fast. He cut a few points down off his SR.
On NTSC, Canadian Champion Simon Laflamme set a small PR on CI1 lap. Christophe Paquin worked on MC2 with the long boost and landed a sub 14 second lap. Christophe made it back to #8 on NTSC with his time.

NEW KART GAME IN PRODUCTION

PR UPDATES
Karel van Duijvenboden made some impressive new times this week! He took the BC1 NBT WR to 1'28"65! After working on DP1 lap for a long time, he finally managed to lower it to a WR tie at 0'14"29*! Well done there Karel! Armin Huber also had a good week, with some new VL records helping him to reach Legend D overall standard this week! He is well on the way to reaching #1 in Germany. On NTSC, Toshi Miura from Japan, who recently joined the SMK site has sent us his first lot of improvements. He has been attacking his weaker courses and cutting a lot of time down so far. He has lots os potential and will reach the Legends soon if he continues to improve at the same rate. At the moment he has climbed to King D overall standard, and #37 on NTSC! He also passed Mikihiko Higashino to be the 2nd fastest Japanese karter on the site!
The rest of the activity mostly imcluded the active French karters, as Champion Pierre L'Hoëst slightly improves his RR record. Julien Holmière works on DP1 with some nice results using the NBT. Axel Descamps made a small PR on GV2 that helped him reach Master A overall standard! Matthias Boucher had a nice week with 10 PRs that helped him climb to #16 on PAL and #7 in France! Dutch Champion, Michael Jongerius dropped by with a nice NBT lap for DP1 and cut quite a few SR points with it.

NEW WEBSITE OF TOSHI MIURA
Toshi Miura has informed us of a new homepage he is creating that is dedicated to Japanese SMK Players. He is hoping to be able to use this website to help recruit Japanese karters and to explain to them that they can join our SMK site and what they need to do to join etc. The site can be viewed via the following link:

A new NTSC member this week, Eric Balch (Chris Balch's brother), from Canada has entered the NTSC World Ranking at #65 with an NTSC overall standard of Pro B.
PR UPDATES
Martin Morissette played BC1 some more this week to try to take the lap WR on NTSC, and he succeeded with a great 0'17"19 lap! On PAL, Michael Jongerius set a WR with a 0'15"56 lap on DP3! Karel van Duijvenboden had a great week, with some strong PRs using NBTs that were near WRs on MC1 lap, DP1 5-lap and MC4 1-lap, plus other PRs that helped him to pass Matthew McCarthy for #7 on PAL!
Back on NTSC, Toshi Muira stayed active by cutting down some more from his times with 16 PRs. So far he has made it to King C overall standard and #33 on NTSC! Chris Balch improved a few times in MC4, DP3 and GV3 and made it to -4 SR Score!
It was a close battle between two karters this week, Armin Huber set some more VL times that helped him cut down some more points. Matthias Boucher fought his way into the Legend D standard overall and passed Armin with his new records this week. Matthias is now #15 on PAL. The two karters are very close in ranking still, so expect a battle to continue very soon! PAL World Champion, Pierre L'Hoëst set a new RR 5-lap that was a few hundredths faster. Antoine Olivier made a good climb this week to #64 on PAL, #24 in France and a new PAL overall standard of Elite D with several improvements all round. Andreas Runnelid cut a few points down with PRs in GV2 and KB1 and Raphael Braun visited with some quick improvements in Rainbow Road.

PR UPDATES
It has indeed been a week of World Records, as Karel van Duijvenboden continues the threaten the higher ranks on the PAL list with some crazy DP1 PAL World Records of 1'12"63 and 0'14"21! He also took the MC4 lap WR to 0'18"94! Champion, Pierre L'Hoëst took the Rainbow Road PAL World Record for the fastlap to a new time of 0'17"33! On NTSC, Chris Balch worked on a few courses, including more Mario Circuit 4 in which he has beaten Masakazu's NTSC 5-lap WR to 1'34"13! Toshi Miura was very active this week with several PRs on most courses as he is learning the new strategies well! Toshi has made it to King A overall standard and is very close to reaching the Legends! He will get there very soon! Toshi is also now #28 on NTSC.
The battle between Matthias Boucher and Armin Huber continued this week.. Both of them hit a number of new PRs. Matthias managed to stay in the lead so far, but their point scores are still quite close, and both are getting nearer to Legend C. We will see what happens next week! Axel Descamps drove 7 new PRs and is getting very close to the Elite overall standard. He remains on Master A at the moment, but he has climbed up to #76 on PAL!
