NEW MARIO CIRCUIT 1 CHAMPION

    This week we have a new NTSC member from Canada, Charles Piché. He has sent all of hit times in to have a final ranking of #19 on NTSC at Elite C overall. But, there is one race in which Charles has concentrated on the most, that is Mario Circuit 1. He has managd to drive to very low 1'00" times and just recently, a new NTSC 5-lap WR there beating Travis's long standing WR!! Maybe we will see that Charles could be the player who will go for the 0'59"99 first as he can see the potential left for him in the laps. Charles will also be able to gain many more ranks when he improves next on all th other tracks, because he is a player who definitely has what it takes to make it to the Kings and maybe Legends aswell!

STANLEY JERAM NOW 3RD IN CANADA!

    Stanley Jeram has once again put in a great competition with making 15 more PRs to complete the POW week and also POM for October. Many great attempts on the courses as some times are getting really fast. Mario Circuit 2 5-lap slowly getting better as he has rid of his Master time there getting 40/40 Elite, not only that, but now 36/40 King G or higher overall!!! The MC2 laps are looking good, so once Stan has made really good 5/5 attempts on MC2, then we will see some fast times there too in the King to Legend area even. After seeing Charles's work on MC1 Stanley was able to drive under 1'01" aswell, and we are sure that will be taken down even further soon. Great times on Bowser Castle 3 as it is a long course with many tricky obstacles. Stanley Jeram is now passed Samuel Aubry to be #3 in Canada behind Antonio Abdo and Canada's SMK Champion Louis-Philippe Sabbagh. World Ranking for Stanley is at #9 with a King E overall Standard!!

BRIAN GALLO TEARING UP DONUT PLAINS 1!!

    NTSC Player and I will mention, Mario Kart 64 World Champion, Brian Gallo is back!! It has been quite a few months since he has last played and did drop in this week to make a few PRs and send in some older ones. One race that Brian really wanted to try out was Donut Plains 1 for reasons of some serious potential left there. He was very successful as he has managed to make a pair of WRs there that have taken a considerable amount off the previous ones set by Jason Whalls. I am sure this may make other NTSC players return here to try the course and see what they can make of it. Brian is now ranked in #12 just ahead of Richard Sturmfels who had an SR tie on King F overall. Brian wins 17-15 on matchups so he achieves the higher rank. Brian will return to play a lot more during the Christmas break time, we all look forward to hearing of his PRs again soon!

STANLEY JERAM TAKES THE LEAD ONCE MORE!!

    Yes, it is Stanley Jeram who has brought this week's POW in again with his great PRs, now on the way to more Legend times, and not only that, but his first GOD time!!! So far Stan has landed on 11.000 SR which just puts him on King D Overall. At the moment he still remains at #9 on NTSC, but will be catching Laurens Liem pretty soon. Only a few Elite times left to have 40/40 King overall!!

THREE AND A HALF YEARS IS A LONG TIME....

    NTSC World Champion Michael Liem has also been trying Mario Circuit 1 recently as Charles managed to take Travis's record. It had been 3 and a half years since Michael PR'ed here, and it was a small, but racing this old ghost saved to his game pak, he was able to improve with some sub 12 second laps there too. This will mean that soon, there will be a new lap improvement from Michael, that is sure as new potential is opening. As a result of this PR, Michael has been able to climb that extra step towards Legend D!!

ANDREAS MAKES 7 PRS

    PAL Player Andreas Runnelid has Karted more this week again to make 7 PRs with Bowser/D.K.Jr improvements! His PRs have put him right on the borderline of Elite G/F so we will see him gain a standard I'm sure on the next update of PRs! Koopa Beach 1 is just simply getting faster and faster now as Andreas is taking the 5-lap further towards the 1'01" barrier which is a really fast time for PAL, fastlap is getting extremely close to Edwin's former WR which stood from 1996/1997 till September 1998, still one of the top times there on PAL! Andreas will soon be driving sub 19 second laps on Mario Circuit 3 as he has pretty much gotten used to D.K.Jr there.

MICHAEL LIEM BECOMES FIRST NTSC LEGEND D!!!

    NTSC World Champion, Michael Liem has managed to reach a 4.000 SR Score which has made him the first NTSC player to reach Legend D ranking overall!! Bowser Castle 1 was the track to do it on for him and he also fell a bit short of getting WRs there. We may see Michael take those WRs soon if he plays again, potential for the 5-lap definitely, 1-lap will be harder, but very close still!

STANLEY JERAM, 2ND IN CANADA, 6TH NTSC!!!

    Stan continues to set fantastic PR as the weeks go by!! He has managed to take BC1 down very well now that Michael Liem has sent some good strats through egroups. MC1 is getting further into the 1'00"s and DP1 is getting better too as Stan only has 1 Elite time left - 39/40 King G or higher! This week his greatest achievement has to go to GV1 as he is really following Gallo now with his amazing 4/5 jump attempt (GOD time)!!! A very difficult task and we all feel that we can't make that jump enough so we tend to not play GV1 much. Shows that there is a lot to be done there. Stanley Jeram has passed David Wonn and Antonio Abdo making him #6 in the World on NTSC and #2 in Canada behind Louis-Philippe Sabbagh!
