Hotstuff Hernandez invited me to be the guest announcer for his main event match against Terry Funk, and I was on my way! Also on the card were Eddy Guerrero and Disco Inferno, as well as many Houston area wrestlers and several from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, most of whom work with me in NWA Southwest. I had a great time being a backstage mark and performing my announcing duties, although I was heavily booed by the Houston fans simply because I was announced as being from Dallas, and I twice had to duck flying chairs sent my way by the Mad Funker.
