A little bit of my History

My goal for this page is to include pictures and events that occured over the past several years...  Who knows, This may even be interesting to someone, but mostly, I just want to have fun with it.  ~sm

I finished school in Arizona atSahuarita Highschool in 1990. I then signed up for three years in the Army.

I went to Basic training in January, 1991.  My first tour of duty was at
Fort Sill, OK. My job in the Army was Communications specialist. I installed, and maintained all types of radios, field computers, faxes, and field  telephone systems. By Fall of the following year, I was assigned to Camp Casey Korea. I came back from Korea the next year and finished my last months back at Fort Sill driving a HMMWV (Hummer) for  the 3/17 FA Battalion XO.  (The last few months were the easiest.)
I recieved my Honorable Discharge from the Army in December of '93', and enrolled in the AASE program at
DeVry in the spring of 94.  Two years later (almost) I graduated with good marks, a degree, and hired on with Lam Research Corporation.

I had the opportunity to travel and train with Lam seeing other places and fabs.  I learned a lot being an FSE (field service engineer) for Lam for just over two years when I siezed an opportunity to go to work for ST.  What could I do, I took the money and
RAN!

I am currently at what was known as
SGS Thomson now called STMicroelectronics (NYSE STM)... a world leader in semiconductor manufacturing.  I started out working in equipment Engineering using my skills from Lam Research, but I am now in Process Engineering working in the CMP / EPI and BackGrind area.  The future of simconductors is supposed to be in CMP and EPI, so I am definately THERE!
I am very busy all of the time, currently enrolled back at  DeVry to get a BSTM degree.  I am within three weeks of graduating now, and I will probably go back to school for a masters after that.

What a crazy lifestyle... I never thought it could be so goodl! Sometimes we just have to think out of the box heh??  :-)

I just spent the weekend catching up with old friends and others from my HighSchool class.  It is hard to believe that ten years has slipped by.  I think we have done fine in the past ten, this stuff is easy!  Go see the page the reunion committee put together for the
Class of '90', or find your own Highschool class at classmates from the Sam's Place top page.

There is plenty more to see by looking around at the other pages on this site.  Go meet the family by starting on the Main Page!   Bye for now!   ~sm~
