Daily Writing

Circle

As falling on cedars, the steel and concrete ones, l gaze into the hazed abyss and fail to see the erectness of our fair city. As the symbol of our archectual fortitude towers behind a white curtian rippling in the breeze, the faint lights once bright travel up its shaft and are lost in its opaqueness.

As I watch the veil of unrelentless perciptation wax and wane, as if breathing, I follow one of its particulates make its final journey and seal its own fate. It joins millions before it to once again join the ecosystem and to be turned back into its frozen state in about 1000 years. It jumps from plant to animal, animal to human, human to human and back again.

I stand behind my glass protection and watch in awe as the snow continues to fall, and I continue to breathe.
