CLASS RULES
- Respect is the rule; the rule is respect.
- Be in class prepared and in your seat when the bell rings.
- Remember to employ proper classroom behavior and permissions (talking, pencil sharpener, trashcan, etc.).
- Complete assignments as instructed.
- Remember that the teacher dismisses class.
GRADING
- Homework grade counts 20%. Every time homework is checked there will be a ten-point deduction for not having the assignment. There is no reason that anyone should have a grade below 100.
- Daily grades and quiz grades count 20%.
- Test grades and project grades count 60%. Tests and projects are weighted according to the amount of material they cover or the amount of preparation involved.
MATERIALS
All students are expected to have a notebook, paper (loose-leaf only), pen and pencil, and specified textbooks for each class period.
ABSENCES
When you are absent, you are responsible for finding out what you missed and for scheduling make-up dates. Tests must be made up within six make-up test dates or you will receive a 0. Homework is expected the day you return from your absence or you will receive a 0.
