Habitat:

Elephant Sharks inhabit the fast waters of Western Port and are found over mud, shell and rock bottoms. Some captures are made at Mornington but these are rare. Elephants are a bottom dweller and their depth can vary from 3m to 12m. Personally I like to fish for them in shallow because they fight better and perform better.

Tackle:
* Line: 2-6kg
* Hooks: 1/0 to 4/0 Mustad Suicide
Pattern
* Reel: Shimano Baitrunner 3500, or
Aero Baitrunner.

clip.
Quality: Elephant sharks are a quality fish. They are easy to catch. Good fighters and have a touch of unpredicibility to them. The harder u put it to an elephant the harder it will fight. They can perform leaps, hard drives, fast runs and good times. If bleed and cleaned
immediately after capture elephants are a 5 star quality eating fish !!!
