Reported on the 14/1/01
Tuesday the 9th I headed out to black Rock hoping to catch a few gars
for bait then head out on the
Snapper. In a few hours we got 21 gars and a Trevally at 34cm. Then
at about 6pm as we were
heading out for snapper we saw huge flocks of birds and schools of
Salmon working the water.
So a quick troll produced four 2kg Salmon. We left the Salmon biting
and only stayed on the Snapper
for an hour or so because it got way to rough.
There have also been reports of small Kingfish in the Black Rock area.
These fish have appeared
roughly at the same time they did last year. (For all you fishos who
keep diaries)
Snapper Snapper Snapper ?? Where are they ?? Mark Bolgar had some
success a couple of days ago
with a nice pinkie of 1kg at Frankston on dusk. They also caught garfish
and a solidtry King
George Whiting.
