Official Breakdown of All Camp Staff Summer 2006!
Sunshine
Camp director. She is "large and in charge" as one could say. She is very strict with rules, but smiles a lot. She is a lot like Marty in a way. She doesn't joke around a lot, but you can hold a good conversation with her. She worries a whole lot more, like last night, she drove all of the girls in our cabin back to it b/c of a dark cloud.
Starfish
Waterfront director and medical director. She is usually nice, but she has her moments. She is commanding, and is always on people about following rules. She was is day camp for five years, so it was hard to think of her name b/c she has been waiting like ten years to get it. Her names covers a lot of bases in which I can't remember all of them right now.
Phoenix
Lifeguard/Junior Counselor. She is like I was last summer in that she wants to be a bit crazy, but she's a little shy too. By the end of the summer she will porbably be my twin! Imagine, a second Pixel! What would the world do? She is quite nice and easy to get along with, but she can be cranky.
Firefly
Unit leader. One of the internationals, from Austrailia. She is truley a charecter. She can be ladylike, but usually she is not. She always has a smaile on her face, and she claims to not like little kids, but I know she does. She is actually not 21, but she was randomly picked to be a unit leader b/c of the lack of staff. She is always grumbling about "personal space," yet she is always using someone as a pole to lean on. All of her jokes usually include me as the subject.
Bluebell
Unit leader. A Kansas girl! She is usually quiet and calm, but she loves a good song or game now and then. She's the one you turn too to get a badge done in two days! She loves to learn, and will never cease to be amazed by everything around her. She loves hikes, boatong, and all of that old campy stuff. Seh learned all of tha cvamp songs I knew, well not all, and she loves to lead games.
Pearl
Unit leader. For those of you that don't know her, she is an international from England, and she came back this year. Seh is very teacherlike, and enthusiastic. She loves the little kids, but got stuck with 35 Juniors his week! She loves to sing, boats, and hang out at the pool, most likely sunbathing!
Bronco
Unit counselor. The untimate match for Tacoma! She is a real cowgirl that loves trucks and rides horses. She loves to play pranks and randomly picks up one of the counselors' items and puts it in the "lost and found" so that they have to sing to get it back. I'm always the subject of her jokes, and of couse I was the first to be put on the spot b/c she "found" my backpack when it was right next to me and made me sing for it.
Sassafras
Unit counselor. International from England. She always has a smile on her face and she is a bit shy. Seh has her own unique style that has earned her the nickname "Sassy." She likes to sing, but prefers if I do it. :) She is enthusiastic and fun, and is a real girly girl. As Firefly woul say, she is a "warfie", or a girl that is both ladylike and rough.
Twinkle
Unit counselor. International from Ireland. She has earned th\e nickname Irish for obvious reasons, but she is very easy to talk to. She get annoyed really easily though. She doesn't really like to sing, but she is a real sunbather. She want's to go hime all prettily tanned so her boyfrind will not know who she is. She is sometimes quiet, but when you get the right subject, she will talk and talk and talk.
Dewdrop
Junior counselor/kitchen help. She is VERY shy. She hardly talks at all, and she is almost like a sheep. She is nice, and easy to talk to, when she wants to talk, and she is always lending a hand here and there. Seh doens't like to get up in front of people and sing, but she will join in and help that girls sing. Hopefully, she will open up a but more as the summer goes.
Tulip
Kitchen staff. She actually sepnt the whole first week with us, so I actually know her a bit, even though she is kitchen staff. She is very atrticulate, and she is very fit, as well. She is not one you would find yelling "Rare Bog" at the campfire, but she is an interesting person. She smiles a lot, and kind of stays in the background. She would make a good counselor, but she can't dtasy overnight at camp b/c she has another job.
Butterfly
Unit counselor. Interantional from Turkey. She just joined us two days ago. She is even quieter than Dewdrop, and she doesn't speak English well. She'll get her point across, though. I don't know a lot about her, except that she is 23.
Well, that's the breakdown of the staff this year. It's not so good as last year, but I hope we will have a great summer!
Oh, and my camer died again. I'm not buying Canon again! Grag! I'm going out this weekend to buy another.
