"I love you" are words to be whispered soft
to be caught by the wind and carried aloft.

    A feeling whose gentle strength be hidden,
by a bold fragilness that lies within.
***
    Words to be uttered so softly from sweet lips,
not screamed so loudly from mountain tops.
***
    Words only ment if spoken from the heart,
if said with the mind,they taste only tart.
***
    The ears should not hear only a bit,
but the heart should absorb all of it.
    ***

Authors Comments ~ I wrote this poem for the man
I was in love with before he left for Iraq.
He never came back.
If you love someone tell them before it is too late.
You never know if you'll see them again.
