I don't like being outdoors Smithers, for one thing, there's too many fat children.
Hello fellow Shelbyvillians, reading Susan's blog about our Commerce
excursion to the Courts has inspired me to write a blog of my own.
That day, which was a Wednesday, everybody woke up early as we had to be at
Lidcombe Station at 8:00 as our tour of the courts started at 9:00. I woke up at
6:30, leaving me about 25 minutes to get ready, and then I set out for Daniel's.
I got my mum to drive me as I would've caused everyone to be late. As I got to
Daniel's he was waiting for me at his door and then we set out for Susan's. We
knocked at her door and then ran but she and Sheila soon came out. We then
walked to Alan's and once we got there Alan's brother, Christian chased Sheila
as she screamed running down the street. We then went to Villawood Shops or
Woodville Village, as it's meant to be called now, and Susan went to the Bakery
and I went to the Newsagent to get Passionfruit Tic-Tacs. There was none so we
went down to the Station, bought out tickets which were $4.40, and waited for
our train.
As we got to Lidcombe we hadn't seen anybody until we got onto the Platforms. We
had meet up with everybody and the Mrs Dib came and marked the roll. Mrs Dib
didn't have my note so then she had to call home, but nobody picked up so she
eventually ended up calling Ms Kaidbay and then we could finally go on the
train. We missed the train but another one soon came. On the train it was packed
and both the Commerce classes had to squash into one carriage. We spent most of
our time looking at Dolly and Girlfriend magazines, and Daniel drew on a sticker
of Anthony Callea and we stuck it on Alan's back. When we got off our train,
someone must've told Alan that it was on his back because he had taken it off,
and the teacher was taking us around in circles. When we finally got to the
Downing Centre, we had to go through this security check and you were not aloud
to bring in camera phones or nothing.
So, now we were off to our tour which was more like a lecture about the State
Court Hierarchy. The Tour Guide was a court officer in those courts and he sat
us down in one of the courts and talked about nothing for about 15 minutes. When
he finally shut up, Mrs Dib let us roam around the Courts. We went to Court 4.2
first, and as you entered any court you had to bow at the NSW Coat Of Arms.
Sheila and Susan failed to do so and brought shame not only to themselves but to
our school. Anyway, the case hadn't even started, Glen and I grew restless so we
went to Court 4.5 which was worst, so we ended up back in Court 4.2. When the
case finally started, we heard that the Defendant's wife tried to chuck a fax
machine at him, and I started laughing but nobody else was so I had to quickly
compose myself. The Prosecutor kept objecting which was annoying and then the
Court Officer noticed the Defendant's translator, was standing up and offered
her a chair. As she went to sit down on her chair, the back of the chair was
going into her back and she tried to fix it but couldn't so, she just sat there,
looking like she had a hunch back. Sheila, Susan and I were all cracking up, and
even the dude in front of us was cracking up. Sheila and Susan left the Court
and that left Glen, Daniel, Mrs Dib and I. Glen was getting bored so we left,
and went to the same court we were in for our tour. There was an old lady at the
stand and the Defence Lawyer kept pounding her with questions testing her
memory. I felt sorry for her but the case was boring so we left. When we left it
was almost time to leave the Courts for lunch.
At Lunch, we first went to Gloria Jeans where Anna got this Tim Tam thing. Then
we went Subway where everybody except Anna and I bought their lunch. Anna went
next door to get some hot chips and I sat there reading Dolly. When everybody
finally finished, and the girls had left their trail of rubbish, we set out for
KFC. At KFC, I bought 10 Wicked Wings and a Coke.
After KFC, we went down to Utopia, Caillan made me hate Utopia because he was
there for about 6 hours before. After we left Utopia we went down to this Comic
Shop that Daniel had been talking about at school. They had all Manga at the
back and they have kickass posters and also Happy Tree Friend Toys.
After we left the Comic Shop I wanted to get Passionfruit Tic-Tacs so we went
across the street to this shop but they didn't have it. So, Daniel told me about
Coles nearby, but when I went to check inside Coles, there was nothing. Then,
there was a Newsagency opposite Coles and Susan was complaining and saying 'They
wont have it!' when in fact they did! Passionfruit Tic-Tacs taste like ordinary
Tic-Tacs except when you first put it in your mouth it tastes like passionfruit.
Then, Daniel, Alan and I bought soft serve cones at Hungry Jacks and we went to
this World Plaza place where there were 2day FM signs. After the girls looked at
shoes, we went back to Gloria Jeans and Susan bought that Tim Tam thing while we
sat down at the Internet Cafe above Gloria Jeans. Then soon after, Sheila, Laila,
Belinda, Chris and Branko showed up. We sat there doing nothing until we saw Mrs
Dib walking back to the Courts with shopping bags!
When we went back everybody was already there and we had to go through the
security check again. This time, as Susan went through it beeped because she had
kept her phone in her pocket. Anyway, we took the stairs up to the first level
and then took the left to the 4th, where we saw everybody crammed inside one
lift and they shut the doors on us. All the Courts were on Lunch so then we went
home. We then walked to Museum Station where people bought train tickets which
made us miss the first train back to Lidcombe but luckily for us the next train
stopped at Villawood so we didn't need to get off Lidcombe and wait for another
train.
On the train, Daniel and Anna were trying to draw on me with eye-liner and then
we all turned our attentions to Laila and Turbo. Then we were staring at Laila
and she tells us 'What are you staring at? I know I'm beautiful'. Then Sheila
said some crap about Turbo and Laila, and Laila practically announced to the
whole carriage that 'No! they would never be going out!'.
When everybody got off at Lidcombe, the doors were shutting as they were getting
off the train so Chris and Daniel, the heroes, grabbed the doors and using their
Super Strength opened the doors for Mrs Dib and Laila to squeeze through. When
Laila had left we gave Turbo, Laila's ID card.
The next day, she found out Turbo had her ID card and she got pissing and told
Anna 'It isn't funny' when it obviously is.
