Today, Today, Today was an Visual Arts/Music Presentation thing at the school
hall. It started at 7:00 so Kan and I left at 6:45, where it began to sprinkle.
We stopped at the Petrol Station for Tic Tacs and Coke. We arrived at the school
hall and were amazed at how crappy the works were. As we progressed through the
hall we began to see some madass works mostly by Year 11 and 12.
At 7:30, everybody was seated and the music performances began. First up was
miscellaneous (I cant spell his name so he shall stay unnamed) and he performed
a "Classical piece" which I do not recall the title of. Next Kaylyn performed
'Because Of You' by Kelly Clarkson with some microphone failure. John was next
who played 'Not Too Proud To Beg'. Then a band played "Cold Hard Woman" as Mrs
Cousin announced. The microphone fucked up again but even when it was working
you couldn't hear the lyrics as the kickass drums drowned out any other sound.
Next was some girl who massacred 'My Immortal' by Evanescence. They didn't even
play the good version, the one where the band comes in for 40 seconds. By then,
all my Tic Tacs were gone. Lets never speak of it again. Then Alyssa and others
played some song that Susan knows. Yeah, then Kan and I left, just in time for
Futurama. The next episode is better than the first but I liked the automatic
sliding doors gag and the 3D animation is the coolest not like cheapy WINX Club.
It's radical!
If you really want to know who I thought was the best: t'was Alyssa's group,
followed by Kaylyn and the drums for "Cold Hard Woman" was radical.
