What happeneD to the D?

Champaign, Il - David Yu is pleased with how the defense has progressed in this past week, but the first-year coach/captain is "not satisfied by any stretch." Gangster of Love's run defense enters Monday night's game against the Preston Burgress tied for 15th in the Intramural League after allowing opposing team to top 100 yards for the first time the season.
"We're making a lot of mistakes," Yu said. "If there's one thing that's killing is in tackling the quarterback, after getting behing the offensive line."
Ty Johannes rushed for a season-high 171 yards against the Gangsters of Love at the IMPE fields. "We've seen that, we're correcting that and we're working on getting better." Yu stated. "It's all part of our plan defensively of putting the system in, learning the system and then improving the system and adding more to the system."
Though there's little margin for error, Yu insists the scheme isn't flawed.
"Missed tackles are a big thing for us right now. We're missing a lot of tackles, myself included. We're not making plays when we have a chance. said middle linebacker Bill Harrington. "
If you're on the team, you shouldn't miss tackles. The backs are good too, but we shouldn't be missing tackles. Sometimes you get in bad position and it's hard to make the play, but the easy ones you've got to make, if there are any easy ones." said cornerback Josh Stender.
"People can come in and try to run," Yu said. "The fact that they were able to do it, that bothers me. Saying it is one thing. Actually coming out on Monday and doing it is totally different."
