Game 2: L 0-20

Player of the Game: The refs

After the victory last Monday, the members of the team tried to use the same plan, however, the plan backfired and the Gangsters of Love got pounded 20-0.

"We didn't play well" captain Dave Yu said. "That is all there was to it." On the first play, receiver Stan Wang caught a ball for a first down, however, it was called back because Stan accidently flag guarded. It was then on, that the offensive looked out of "sink". The offensive line gave quarterback George Glekas enough time to throw the ball, however, George lost some of his accuracy from the first game, forcing too many throws into double and triple coverage, which resulted in two interceptions. "I made some bad decisions tonight" George said "It was just bad execution on my part. I let the team down."

The highly touted defense was missing tonight also. The defense clearly missed star cornerback Cory Funk and linebacker Bill Harrington, forcing several offensive players to play defense. Lineman Dan "Asian Blurr" Pan and David Yu were still able to bust through the opponent's offensive line with ease, however, they along with linebackers Jake Vick and corners Brent, Neil, Rudi, and Josh had trouble containing Ty Johannes, the Wild Chubies's quarterback. "He was their entire offensive. He basically ran past us. Many times, we had him, however, he was able to elude the rush and run for big yards. We really miss Bill and Cory in the back. I could always count of them to get a sure "tackle" on the quarterback if he got past the rush. Because of my pathetic performance, I am personally going to lay off the pizzas and run wind sprints everyday now in addition to running 5 miles 4 times a week" Dan said.

The Gangsters of Love drove into opponent's territory on many occasions, however, they made many pivotal mistakes each time. Silly penalties like flag guarding usually stop their drives. "We just killed ourselves over and over today." said Travis. "We had opportunities to seize the momentum and get a little something going and those opportunities didn't come through for us. "The final score is misleading" Stan added. "When you throw 4 interceptions and have as many stupid penalties as we did, then you deserve to lose. I am surprised that they didn't score more than 20." I think we played half as well as we are capable of playing, we could have score more than 20 points. Also, please don't listen to Dan. He doesn't know what he is talking about."

There have been some question about the play of the opponents and the officiating. "Personally, I am going to beat the living crap of certain players on that team and the refs" Vince said. "I can understand when this happens once, but when I get kneed in the balls several times and no one calls it, then there are some problems. That big ref better stop eating those fat pills and that little ref needs to stop drooling at the WOMEN of WALMART CALENDER and ref the game." Linebacker Jake Vick was not happy about the officiating either. "Give me a break. They called me on some weak plays. What are they, little Josephines running around, hoping that their dresses won't get dirty? We are grown men playing against grown men. That fat ref said I pushed a guy down which I touched him and he fell. If I really want to push a guy down, then ask "Big Red" what happened to him. As big as he is, I was able to knock him down and he wasn't the first person to get up. Personally, I think Big Red and the fat ref should star in the movie together called "The Incredible Red Fat Fungus."
