Game 3: L 18-28

Player of the Game: George Glekas

After the brutal loss to the Wild Chubies team, the Gangsters of Love needed a win to stay alive for the playoffs. However, without the weekly practices and a few members of the team injured, the Gangster of Love faced an uphill battle and had to dig deep down to pull of the victory. Unfortuantely, they fell abit short, losing to the Preston Burgess (Chem Team).

It seemed like the offense showed up. Lineman Travis, Vince, and Greg gave quarterback George Glekas all day to throw the ball. With this time, George was able to sit in the pocket as long as he wanted. He surveyed the defense and basically shreaded the defense with his accurate passing, throwing 3 TDs. "I think the offense played pretty well. I wasn't hung over this week and the weather was nice. The line did great. You can't ask anything more than that...well, maybe some cheerleaders cheering your name." said George. "Don't listen to Dan and his little theory about when people being hung over they are basically unstoppable on the field. His brain works in a way in which no one can't comprehend, which leaves them including myself stratching my head. See the amount of hair I have..well, this is caused by him. Sometime I wonder if he constantly sniffing rubber cement. However, the refs were fair. That fat ref wasn't there. Maybe Dan was right...maybe that fat ref was at home inhaling his twinkies with Delta Burke."

The defense was missing tonight. The defense clearly missed defensive lineman Dan "Asian Blurr" Pan. Instead of rushing the opponents' quarterback, Dan was rushing through the verbal and math sections of the GRE. "We missed him on the defensive side. He possesses deceptive speed for a man of his size. Seriously don't listen to him. He is not eating hamburgers in the huddle or eating for two. We don't even huddle on the defensive side. He is able to get past our opponents lineman like it is going out of style." said captain Dave Yu. Without the constant rush, the defense was able to contain the P. Burgess's quarterback. With constant lapses on defense and the unability to grab flags, the Gangsters of Love allowed the him to complete many of his passes, especially on crucial downs. "When their quarterback got into the secondary, he was lightning." said linebacker Bill Harrington. "We couldn't catch him when he decided to run. That killed us."

The pivot play of the game happened when Dwight Kim caught a short pass on the sideline. Josh Stender allowed Dwight to tip toe down the sideline thinking that he was going out of bounds. Unfortuantely, he didn't and took it to the house. "My misplay caused us the game. I will admit that I was looking forward to watching two films later that night called "Nurses Night Out" and "Sweets from Sweden". Josh said. "But our defensive couldn't do anything. We just seemed confused and we couldn't stop them. We tried different defensive strategies but nothing seemed to work."
