Support for Socialist Candidates by Joe Higgins TD

Press photo opportunity with recently released prisoner

Joe Higgins, Socialist Party TD for Dublin West will visit Belfast tomorrow. Joe has just been released from Mountjoy Prison having served a month sentence for leading protests against the imposition of bin charges in the Dublin area. He is coming to give support to the similar struggle against water charges in Northern Ireland.

He will be accompanying Socialist Party members and members of the “Water charges “We won’t pay” Campaign” to hand a letter of protest at the charges to the Water Reform Unit in Adelaide Street.

Joe will be available for a photo opportunity and press interviews: Outside the offices of the Water Reform Unit, Clarence Court, 10-18 Adelaide Street, Belfast at 12 noon on Monday 24th Nov
