Life as a Road |

His life before him he’s got all to lose Try to imagine a day in his shoes He’s rough and ready, at the top of his game Yet remains in his shell concealing his pain Damned to the land of all those who fail His will to succeed he hopes will prevail Bracing his jaw, mind set to his task Unwavering resolve to behold at last His purpose fulfilled at the end of the road But not without finding many trails closed So now before him beckons, that long, twisted path With each dark bend threatens, some unknown wrath Even so he presses forward, ignoring every fear, Confronting every monster, cursing back every tear |
