There is a religious wanderer of my acquaintance, who has traveled the world for the past several years, begging to earn support for his spiritual quest, and offering cleansing sacrifices to placate evil energies and attract positive ones. He has come through my life often enough now for me to have noticed that he has a distinctive and rather attractive way of writing. It seems to call to mind a distracted and yet urgent mood, which captures his personality rather well. He writes in all capital letters, making subtle modifications rarely, and using larger letters at the beginnings of names and sentences. I was particularly intrigued by the way he writes the letters "n" "r" and "k". Also, his writing dances lightly above the usual baseline for text, which adds to its character.I designed the "Bujew" typeface based on one of my friend's recent letters, and have since found it very useful for demonstrating the quick energy of a hand-written note, with the intensity of a call to action.
This font was designed on Macintosh using Apple's TrueType technology, and is being distributed in Macintosh and Windows formats. I was giving my friend financial support as the need arose since his wanderings began, and I had thought I would share this typeface with others, and ask if they would be willing to send $5.00 in cash as a Mitzvah-Ware fee for use of the font, to help me continue to support this journey. As I can no longer pass these contributions along, I just ask that you send me a good thought, which can always come in handy.
This will permit you free use of the font, as long as the planned use will not injure, detract from, or inhibit the life and spiritual growth of any being. Please share Bujew with your friends and colleagues, but do not distribute it without this note. If you want to add it to a collection for distribution, that's cool, as long as the fee charged is nominal, and it is not represented as anything other than a Mitzvah-Ware product.
