My ultimate goal is to be creative in all my endeavors, including my chosen career, graphic design. My goal as a graphic designer is to be an art director.
Here is my
resumé
outlining my skills and work experience. These skills include art direction of photo shoots and commission of illustrations, including managing a budget as well as design from concept through completion of various printed pieces. These include advertising, editorial and promotional designs.
I am currently the Assistant Art Director at
Inter@ctive Week Magazine.
My duties include design, layout and production of Sections and Features. I art direct photo shoots and commission illustrations, working closely with the editorial staff for context and execution. This includes managing a budget. I also produce spot illustrations and charts for sections.
My previous work experience includes WINDOWS Magazine at CMP Media, Inc. I was Assistant Art Director. My responsibilities were similar to my present position. I was also a member of the in-house art department at Computer Associates International Inc. While with CA, I earned the position of Assistant Supervisor, responsible for four staff artists.
I have a Bachelors of Fine Art from the
Savannah College of Art and Design
in Savannah, Georgia including a minor in Art History and a Masters of Art in Fine Art from
Long Island University, C. W. Post Campus.
I have been accepted to
Pratt Institute
in the Communications Department and look forward to attending in the Fall of 1999.
