The Internet Movie Database: The IMDB originally at cardiff university but now set up as a private venture, is and hopefully will remain one of the best information on the Internet. It is built out of users submissions which mean that it is always very upto date. Sepifically the archiving and indexing of the moderated rec.movies.reviews is a very good way of building up data. This also now makes it slightly worrying now it is becoming a private company, is it far to be charged to read something you have written?. Nevermind, there is no mention of anything like this happening as yet. If you are looking information about a film, it will be here. Still the internet resource.
The Melon Farmers : The Melon Farmers are a group of ppl including a friend of mine phil@webcor.demon.co.uk, who campaign against the censorship of films that we suffer in this country, they produce a regular list of cuts made to movies shown on TV, and also those released on video. YELL Movie Finder : The YELL film finder is an seemingly excellent service that lets you find out whats at your nearest cinema, sadly it does`nt seem to extend to special showings by film clubs, but does include my local Brecon. Useful.
