I want to know about the time...
Poem by Gary Lewis
I want to know about the time
We took a trip along the Rhine
Exchanging looks with men who read books
Singing songs and drinking wineI loved the way you'd fill a room
With the smell of your perfume
It didn't last long, what did I do wrong
You stole my sun and left me aloneI lose a game of Solitaire
I would have won but you weren't there
The word 'alone' emblazened in stone
Cools my heart when people stare
