Canada

Canada is a great big country north of the United States. It has one-tenth of the population of the United States in twice the space. In fact, if you were to spread the population of Canada evenly over it's land, you'd get a layer of tissue less than a millimetre thick, and probably one really gory trowel.

If you ask the average Canadian what it means to be American, he or she will reply "I don't know... but we're not Americans!". This sums up the average Canadian's attitude about his or her Canadian identity. Trying to define it is like trying to describe the sound of one hand clapping. According to the Kids in the hall, a Canadian is "an unarmed American with health care. " Other people tell us Canadians that "we're so friendly! and the cities are so clean!" but this hardly seems like the right definition to go on, as it's mostly said by Americans and seems to imply that they're rude and dirty.
